I got these.

Ultra Game Players No 89 Oct 96 Has Tobal no 1, Final Fantasy VII and Knights in it. Also Virtua Fighter 3

Gamefan Vol 3 issue 6 June 1995 has Saturn Virtua Fighter 2 and D's Diner

Gamepro Vol 8 No 2 Feb 1996 has Street Fighter Alpha and first look at N64

Two issues of Megaplay. Vol 5 issue 5 and Vol 6 issue 1. One has Phantasy Star IV and Mega Bomberman and the other has the lion king and mortal kombat 2

Now time for EGMS.

EGM 41. Has Road Rash 2 and a holograph. I think EGM said this was their rarest one or one of the rarest EGMs? Also has Street Fighter 3 in it LOL

EGM 53, has Eternal Champions on the front cover. Also previews of Bomberman 94, Megaman X, Ys IV, R-Type 3 and Phantasy Star 4.

EGM 64 has 32x doom on it with Exclusive info on Mortal Kombat III along with Neo Geo Double Dragon and Killer Instinct.

EGM 65 Has X-men on the cover. Previews Eternal Champion CD and Super SF2 Turbo for the 3do. Also Megaman X2

EGM 89 has Street Fighter 3 as the cover.

EGM 101 has Diddy King Racing as the cover.

These tomes worth anything in trade?

Millions of dollars.

On the serious, usually what you paid for them originally. The only people interested in them are nostalgia freaks/collectors.

My guess would be not much at all. Unless you can find some sort of magazine collector and then I would say maybe what you paid.

I should put them on ebay then. I'm running out of space.

Magazines usually don't have much value unless they're really old or a marquee issue.

The EGMS are from the "Golden era" of EGM. AKA when they were GOOD. That and they usually surpass 300-400 pages when they were in this era.

It's not like they're comics. They aren't worth anything.

Even the first issue (http://cgi.ebay.com/EGM-Electronic-Gaming-Monthly-Issue-1-Volume-1-Rare-NR_W0QQitemZ150140437599QQihZ005QQcategoryZ280QQrd Z1QQcmdZViewItem) of EGM goes for $3.

Really? Damn. So I should trade it in for forties? Damn Folly. Oh well. At least they served their purpose. Engaging someone who was eight at the time.

I've seen the first issue of EGM sell for $100+ several times. And it's common for the very early EGM's to sell for around $20 each. Nobody is bidding on this because it has water damage but I doubt it'll end at $3.

Doesn't look like any of the ones you have are worth much. Just put them all up in one auction and see what you'll get for them.

That really depends if the buyer knows what is inside the book itself. Like I have a couple of Magazines I want to get but I don't want to pay an Arm and leg for them.

Again the buyer would need to be in the age group when the games was most popular to. Like today I would rather burn Gamepro magazines for heat then buy them.
