While watching the video, I heard them mention something about it. I'm really curious as to what content we'll see. I hope the PlayStation store gets revamped for this, because the current setup is awful IMO (and would be too cumbersome for this). We'll see on Wednesday though. :)

My crystal ball tells me it will be a rip-off like iTunes and Xbox's Marketplace.

What good will downloadable music be if a custom soundtracks feature still isn't available?

Confirmed from a very cool PS3 engineers interview a few weeks ago.

Well, Sony has tons of music and movies, so that's why they may offer it. This may connect to PSP also. I think it's kind of cool, since it saves me from renting some movies at Blockbuster or something.

I'm talking about something similar to the custom soundtrack feature found on the 360 which allows you to be able to stream music over the top of the game. That feature was there from the beginning on the 360. How does that feature have anything to do with game developers implementing it in games? If you are talking about actual in game custom soundtrack I get your point but I'm talking about it streaming over the top of the game.

I guess I can just mute the game and turn on my CD player. I don't store music on my PS3.
