Is Super Mario Bros for nes without duckhunt worth much, or is rare? I saw it for $2.50, and I'm wondering if it's worth picking up.

To ela--fuck this.

It's not rare. Not in the slightest bit. It was simply made for those who bought an NES that didn't come with Super Mario Bros. or Duck Hunt. SMB/DH was a one-cart bundled with the console.

consolidation.. heh.. you don't need SMB.. if you got the SMB/DH.. most people do.. then you don't want this.. but you do want the one with SMB/DH/track and field or whatever.. the 3 game cart kills 3 birds with one stone..

The only way it would be worth anything would be if it was new and sealed...

But the question is, would anyone actually want that crappy track game? Especially since they'd have to track down the pad for it.

The original "control deck" version of the NES came with SMB in the retail box! Now all Nintendo gives you are some tech demo games in a paper sleeve. ;)

I'm pretty sure this game goes for 50 cents at my local used game shop. The Mario/Duck Hunt combo is 99 cents....so not only is it not rare/worth anything, but at 2.50 you would be getting ripped off. hah. Great game though!

Yes the game is worth that much and even more. The problem is that most people never have really finished Super Mario Bros. in the first place to know how much it is really worth.

I would stock up on those myself but I got tired of the whole dissapointing Mario gimmick. Another problem is that you can play Mario on PPC watch or even on a Camera OSD even now.

Before I had 50 sealed copies of NFL 2K for the Dreamcast that I bought for $10, I used Super Mario Bros as coasters in my house.

If you think they are worth anything, I have a stack of them to sell you. Around 70 or so. Hell, I'll throw in copies of 2600 classics Pac-Man, Space Invaders, ET, and Combat to go with it.

I have the tripple pack and the power pad, and the power pad isn't shabby as long as you dont cheat.

So... you're basically a douche, right? Oh, you've been banned. I guess that settles the matter.

On topic, I bought the Mario only version of this game from a pawnshop for $2, and this shop usually charges $5 for any NES game. So no, it's not worth anything.
