should i get a ps3 20gb off Craigslist?

i might bite but what prices should i sell on there are a lot of ps3 sales. how much would a wireless thing be?

Wireless bridges are $35-$70, so not too expensive. You can live without HDMI. The hard drive on the PS3 is open format, so you can plug in any hard drive you get off the shelf.

The only problem I see is that I think some of the upscaling doesn't work with component, just HDMI. Not sure if you can do 1080p without HDMI either. Still, if you just want the game system, buy it.

Um, the 360 will drop, about $50, read the topic. Thing is, wait for the press conferences tonight to see which games appeal to you the most. It could turn out that you want the 360 games more, or you might want the Sony games more.

Er, and my bad, yes, it has HDMI. Interesting, so really what wasn't in the 20gb model then? Was it just the lower disc space and wireless unit?

Oh and the chrome trim, can't forget that. :P

I can't think of anything else they could have cut. I wonder if they could have gotten away with just a few GB of NAND flash memory instead of the HD.

I got a 20GB, spent an extra $70 on a 120GB HDD, and all is well. I don't miss the media reader or built-in wireless (now that the PS3 doesn't have to be the wireless portion of the PSP)... or the snazzy chrome accents. :)

I think the 20GB was a great deal when they were new... shame they didn't stick around.
