Question about my warranty for my psp...

I bought a new psp in april and got a one year warranty at the EB games where I was working at the time. Now I know if a system gets returned from a warranty it should get replaced with the exact same thing, but my question is who thinks that the non-slim psp's will even be in stock new on april next year? As you can see I'm hoping to get a slim one in replace of the one I have.

I think you can...just wait until new shipments of pspold stop coming and then trade in your faulty machine for a slim new one

I don't know what excuse they could come up with to not give me a new psp even if it is a newer version.
