Theoretical PSP Question [Mobile/Archive]

So... all of you long time CAGers, with Sony completely haulting production of PSPv1 for PSPv2 to be unleashed in September, do you think PSPv1 will undergo a clearance from retailers? Or do you think it'll be "recalled" to Sony?

I'd love to get a clearanced PSP in late August/September/October that still had a 3.5 or lower firmware...

It won't be clearanced but it'll be cheaper until they all get sold. Eventually, a couple that don't sell will get clearanced. The mythical fountain of $20 PSPs will never happen. Plus, I don't think this constitutes a deal and it should be moved......

the FAT ds systems didnt fall in price (in fact they went up on ebay) so why would the PSP

I really wanted to pick up a xbox for like 49 bucks after the 360 came out, sucks they recalled them all.

or they will just pull them and destroy them like they did with the xbox 1Possibly, Sony might take them off the shelves, but we don't know exactly. I do expect EB to really have a crapload of used, unsold old PSP models though. I thought about letting mine go, but nah.

Well...I personally think PSPv1's are gunna be sold for ~$20-30 less than normal at most retailers just to rid of the leftover stock

If so, I think it would be great to just pick one up and mess with the homebrew and whatnot..
