Sega CD version 1 question...

This may seem like a silly question, but how do I make the Sega CD tray open? I've never had a Sega CD before, and I got this off craigslist a couple weeks ago without the wires. I'm missing the mixing wires which may be the cause. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Connect it to a genesis and turn it on without a genesis game inserted and either press reset or start (I forget which one but it is one of the two)

Wait, it doesn't have an eject button? I've had my Sega CD Model 2 for awhile now, I never realized the first one didn't eject. How weird.

Thanks for the help man, but I think the Sega CD may be broken. It doesn't appear to be accepting the power for the adapter. It looks like a light should come on when I turn on the Genesis, but no light comes on.

It was especially crappy for me as mine broke and i had to rip the whole drive open just to retrieve my copy of monkey island
