Does Google Checkout work for new signups anymore for Buy.com? I wouldn't mind 17.99.

After reading all the criticism this show gets, I'm surprised fans of this show exist.

There's a lot of people that don't understand this show. I think it'd be fair to say that fans of the humor in Home Movies liked Tom Goes to the Mayor. They both dealt with straight conversation humor.
I mean, come on, RATS OFF TO YA! And the whole town in a frenzy over it, falling heads over heels in love? Tom launching a counter product "Hats off to you"? How do you not laugh at that?

Like you said, they just don't get it. I'm still hoping that we'll eventually see more episodes. As far as I know this hasn't been ruled out, as the creators have never actually said they were done with the show as far as I know. While that might seem to contradict the "Complete Series" line on the cover of the DVD set, this is TGTTM we're talking about.

This is one of the most bizarre shows ever. I understnad why people tend to not like it. But I, my firends, and even my Mom love it. Need to add this to the Christmas list I think.

Yeah, I really, really hope it pops up. Space Ghost keeps popping up (unfortunately the two new episodes never got finished and who knows when Volume 4 will come out)
I've heard Tim and Eric's show isn't as good. Anyone seen it?

I watched all of TGttM, and while I don't hate it I found it to be extremely lackluster. I wouldn't compare it to Home Movies either. I can kind of see the comparison, but there's a big distinction. TGttM characters were just plain unpleasant. The mayor was a dick and Tom's naive stupidity was more grating than anything else. The characters in Home Movies had far more depth and were far easier to relate to.

The show is done and no more episodes were picked up.

Tim & Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! had an initial order of 10 episodes (which ran in Feb-Apr) and now AS has just ordered another 30. Don't expect to see new TOM, especially since AS doesn't even repeat old TOM.

I liked T&EASGJ better than Tom. Mostly because Bob & David seem to spend lots of time working on the show. The bits can be bad, but at least it is only a bit and not the entire 11 minute show. The criticism for TOM tends to be that in a show where everything bad happens to the main character, you generally want to give him a trait or traits that cause you to root for him even though everything goes amiss. Unfortunately, TOM was structured for you to laugh at the "hero" and all the horrible folly that he'd get into. The hideous beast of a wife who hated him and would regularly visit her ex-husband for months at a time is a perfect example. There was a lot of good stuff in TOM, but there was a lot of garbage more so. At least with Saul of the Mole Men, you have similar stupidity, but a hero you can root for.

Sonic: IM me about Tom and Tim, btw.

not true i liked home movies and hated just tgttm i dont know what it was about that show but i just didnt like it it might have been the hatred that they canceled space ghost, aqua teen (which got brought back), brak, and sealab and put that on with a couple other shows that just didnt have the laugh factor
