Okay, we have no way to know if this is technically a deal, not yet anyway, but I figured there's enough interest to warrant posting. Gamestop is the first retailer I've seen to offer pre-orders for the Wii Fit bundle. The price is $69.99 and the release date is 1/1/2008, which I'm certain is just a placeholder until Nintendo officially announces something.
Obviously, we don't know if this is a good price, or even MSRP, though I imagine it's fairly close (give or take $10). If it hits before the holidays, it could be a hot item, so whatever the case, it doesn't hurt to get your pre-order in now and then wait and watch how events unfold.
Here's the link:
http://www.gamestop.com/product.asp?product%5Fid=T000702
And yes, "SAVER" works for this item.
UPDATE:
Just a quick update to mention that Newegg also has it for pre-order for $69.99 plus shipping.

I agree. If this does hit stores before Christmas, this could be really hot since I don't see the demand for the Wii going down any time soon. I think I'll place a pre-order just in case things get crazy.

It has to, nintendo wouldn't ask you to pay 70 bucks for the game then 30 for the pad.
Besides the game seems really basic. And we all know nintendo will make their money off the other Wii Fit style games that are to come out. I mean the bongos for the cube worked for 3 games.
Does anyone know the release date on this ? I could see it being hard to find like Wii play was when it came out.

If you weren't interested before...you'll be itching to get your hands on it after reading those reviews on gamestop's website!
Yowza! I want to know how much I way too!
So cool!

This is going to be so cool because I already know the plot for it. It's kinda like wii sports but better. I think it is going to be about like doing jumping jacks,sit-up,etc. I recommend this for people who wanna stay fit!

it sounds good for people that are over obesity The sports and excersize implementations look boring. But seeing how through two pressure pads it can effectively tell what position your entire body is in the implications are far wider. and my be fun i may buy it just for fun

I'd say the $69.99 is regular price but this could technically be a deal since bundles like this are sometimes hard to find when they first come out. Personally I don't see what all the excitement is about is, especially with all the other great games coming out around the same time (fall/winter).

I thought Nintendo said this would be $50 for the software (it's not game) and that pad thingy.

$70 ain't bad at all. Only 10 more bones than a 360 game and it includes the tank controller. It makes games like the CE versions of Splinter Cell and Lost Planet look like a ripoff.

I agree. Most people will get into the hype but after a week or two it'll just sit in the corner till they trade it back in or try to resell it.

I'm tempted to "pre" as it might higher retail price soon.
e.g. PS3 Warhawk on GS/EB site pre for $39.99 and now $59.99
"No harm, no foul" to pre and then change it at store level ($10) but lol :D in short order (<30 days) the used overflow might indeed be an understatement....fitness does not seem to = many gamers...

For fat gamers I agree. But this isnt for gamers for the most part. I don't think anything can get some gamers to excersize.
Wii fit if it works as well as impressions say it does and it gets some Brain Age Style unconventional Marketing will sell insame amounts. I predict Schools, Gyms, and Hospitals will buy them from Nintendo directly. Failing that they'll just buy a couple from stores.
Either way this will definetly get a LOT of people to buy Wii who otherwise wouldnt. And once the Wii is in these peoples homes other people like their kids, brothers, husband whatever can buy games for it.
I think Nintnendo is crazy like a fox personally. Whether you like it or hate it this is going to make Nintendo a crazy amount of money. And as someone who has a treadmill and workout bench this looks like something that could really compliment my existing workout. I don't stretch enough or do Push Ups like I should before and after I run and lift weights. 20-30 minutes of this before I start working out seems like it would be great to me personally.

I can see this being a fun diversion for the "off" days of a real workout. A few stretches, a few pushups, some leaning around. It's a hell of a lot more than most people do, and I can't wait for it.
I'd rather pay $70 for Wii Fit than $130 for a cat helmet.

Will this have an online component to it? Competetive nature is what I can see making this game popular.

And so it begins...
Nintendo will sell more of these than Harmonix sold GHII. Soccer moms and nongamers will really dig this. I want to try it first but for Nintendo to devote the last 20 minutes of their E3 conference it must be fairly cool.

It should be MSRP $49.99. GS/EB BS the price & have no idea when the game is comeout.

Hey fat gamers, instead of shelling out $70 for another video game, maybe you could change your diet if you really wanted to lose those extra weight.

People shitting on a $70 game that comes with a peripheral should NOT be lining up for $70 Collectors Editions with an extra disc and a metal case, let alone $90 ones with a bag, or $130 ones with a helmet made in mexico for $3 an hour.

I know this will be a shock to some people but you don't need a $70 Nintendo balance board to do push ups and beginning yoga. People never cease to amaze me. Personally I'm going to wait for the WiiAbdominizer controller so I can do some sit ups.

Nobody Needed a DS to do math problems either, but the way Brain Age tracked your progress day by day, and your improvement relative to your friends made it work. Wii Fit uses the same style of thing that I think will hook a lot of people.
I guess you don't need a $600 console to push some buttons and move some sticks around either, but we only go with inane simplifications one way, right?

Nope, we can talk all kinds of nonsense here like comparing a $70 mass market fitness gimmick to a $130 special edition optional bundle for the extreme fan.
And Nintendo can do whatever they want. More power to them. It just amazes me how things like Eye Toy Kinetic fitness game get totally ignored but Wii Fit has people frothing at the mouth. Never under estimate the power of marketing on the masses.
But this is all getting away from the point of the topic, so my apologies.

retail price @ gamestop, hot deal -_-...........
Can we stop arguing whether or not Wii fit is a good game and admit the point that this kind of speculation crap doesn't belong in the deals forum.

Get off your high horse. Different people need different motivations to exercise. What if you need your exercise to be intertaining because it's just so damn boring, and you don't like playing sports? Everything in the world is more efficient when a game is made out of it, so this fills a void that's previously been empty. It has nothing to do with Nintendo the company.

Just a bump to mention that my Newegg pre-order has moved to Step 3 (credit card charged) so it looks like Newegg is going to come through. Better late than never (especially for $75 shipped).
So if you pre-ordered from Newegg way back in the day, check your order status.

Sorry about that. I bumped the thread in case anyone who pre-ordered at Newegg knew to check their order status. I should've updated the thread title to "[Dead]" while I was at it. Didn't mean to give anyone false hopes of a new deal.

Really? And to think that Pre-Orders were still being taken for $20 below MSRP AND two days AFTER its release.
