Thanks, just finished watching the first season of Ghost in the Shell that I bought during the Deep Discount sale, so now I ordered the entire second season.

Speaking of Ghost in the Shell, does anyone know anything about that Laughing Man DVD they have on pre-order? Is it a re-edit of the first season or something else?

The Laughing Man DVD is a 2 hour movie based on the first season of SAC. It's basically a 2 hour recap. I'm not sure if it includes any new footage.

Essence of Anime is a 'greatest hits' line. I don't know of any specific differences other than cost. if the extras TRSI lists are the same, you could go either way. I'm partial to original releases myself tho'.

What fun? The package advertises a "UMD disc included" but has none inside. Just helping the guy out.

Well, I bit on GitS:SAC season 1 today. I Netflix'd the first disk a while back and *really* liked it, so I figured $50 was a pretty good price for the season. What I saw seemed much better than the movies - they were more "to the point", and didn't ramble quite as much. Not that I disliked the movies, but I appreciated the show being more "focused". :)
