Picked up Spectral Souls this morning, I might pick up Pirates!, Street Fighter Alpha 3 Max, Megaman: Maverick Hunter X and/or Generation of Chaos.

I find buying games on PSP is alot easier than spending all the time it takes to download them. Getting the right firmware, hunting through forum after annoying forum for the game you want, getting the right software and such, it's just such a hassle. And of course you have to have a LARGE memory stick which costs quite a bit anyway.

I went and hit every GameStop/EbGames in my area and ended up with five game :).


Capcom Classics: Remixed, Capcom Classics Reloaded, Namco Museum Battle Collection, Generation of Chaos, and Tekken: DR.

Every store I went to had at least one copy of Tekken: DR, many had two. Some were still marked at the 34.99 though, lol. I think altogether I went to seven stores, and ended up picking up 5 games...lol. With my Edge card and the coupon, I saved over $34!

I've run custom firmware since Dark_Alex put out his first OE-A firmware, and I have yet to pirate a PSP title. I use the firmware for what should be free - old games that have already run their course; Playstation 1 games, Neo-Geo games, MAME games, etc etc.. (And before you ask, I have not purchased any PS1 titles on my PS3 or absolutely anything from the Wii's Virtual Console, nor do I intend to.)

I find it rather insulting that you're automatically categorizing PSP owners as nothing more than complete pirates.

Well, since PSP games still seem to be in development, published, & sent to retail, the likelyhood is pretty darn good. If more games were pirated than sold, developers would have given up on the system long ago.

I had the case for Valkyrie Profile in my hands yeterday at one GS. That's one that I've seemed to miss every new deal that's ever run on it. It was marked $29.99 - the case/manual were mint (didn't look at the disk), but I decided that was a bit too high for me. I stopped at another nearby store, and they had it marked for $24.99 - but the case was severely water damaged.

So, what's the normal used price on it, $29.99 or $24.99? Sounds silly, but that extra $5 might push me over the edge.

My GS has the same thing. I would say about 80%+ have the generic cover art. Those arent even real PSP cases, from what I've heard, they're some 3rd party replacement cases. I had bought Darkstalkers in this condition, it doesnt even lock in the UMD so it falls out and shifts in the case.

Well, out of the five gamestops I've used this at so far, all of them let me use this, and two of them actually asked if I had an Edge card to use....so I'd imagine you should be able to use it. You must have run into a bad employee.

I LOVE my PSP, and have paid for every game I own. Which is reaching 30 with alarming speed. I have a second PSP that I am thinking of putting OE on, but I have not had the balls to try it yet. It is already @ 1.50.

I've never had a problem. Using the similar DS coupon, one of the employees specifically asked if I had an Edge card "because it should stack".

What you should do, always, in these cases is just ask them to scan the card and the coupon and let the computer decide. If the coupon doesn't scan, it has the code on it. GS may be crap in many regards, but they do seem to be updating their computer systems with these coupons correctly.

My coupons never scan -- my printer sucks -- but it's never been a problem. I noticed on the reciept I got from yesterday that one of the stores didn't even bother putting in the code -- they just overrode it with "Promotion Not Found".

i just went and found out the hard way, i went and tried to pricematch the price for lumines from $24.95 to $14.95 and the guy kept saying that the price jump was from the corporate offices, so i couldn't get no lumines (i still got one from a closing blockbuster for a sweet $10 :))

In many states that's illegal, but in MI they have to give you $5 off 'cuz they tagged it less than it rang up. It's the law, so if he refuses put a call in to the state and get your Lumines :)

Just wanted to say thanks again for posting the coupon, as I used the heck out of this thing. Bought eight games altogether: Capcom Classics: Remixed, Capcom Classics: Reloaded, Namco Battle Collection, Tekken: DR, Generation of Chaos, Platypus, and Thrillville. Sweet I went to my local GS with this coupon and scored myself a copy of Gitaroo Man Lives for PSP. Game is freaking awsome and for 12.09 after tax, you cant beat that. Anyway, i saw also Katamari for psp for 14.99 but thought it would be better to get Gitaroo Man. Good call?

woot! got Ultimate Ghosts n' Goblins yesterday... mint! for $12.99 w/ coupon... I got lucky too... because It had only one sticker on the case... and it was scotch taped on... all the other PSP games in the store had 2 stickers each... on the Insert!!! not the plastic... but the paper insert... what crap Gamestop is.... glad I barely go there... unless they have really cheap deals...

They use to put it on the outside but it wore off too easily or something, so they decided to put it on the inside. Good for management, but I guess they dont care that it ruins the cover art for their customers. And you dont realize it until after you buy the game.

I noticed this as well. I was pretty pissed that they had the nerve to put a used sticker on the inside of my Power Stone case. GS/EB stickers usually come off semi-easy nowadays but I could imagine this becoming a huge problem if they didn't come off or if they torn/damaged the cover.
