I'd avoid Demonoid completely if I were you guys... it seems like they'd be the most logical target since the MPAA/RIAA cannot take down PirateBay. When you can't take down the top site, go for the second biggest one.

I'm not going to bother with it for a while until things settle and we know what's up.

Usually if one agency/organization comes down and the site complies, the rest will follow.

You won't get screwed for giving demonoids to people who don't seed. Demonoid doesn't care. I've given out a couple hundred invites and have 3 accounts and have never been warned.
If you are having trouble getting a demonoid also check social networking site groups. I'm a member of a few groups there and used to give my invites there first. Now though other people do it and all request get answered in a couple days usually.

BTW I got an invite for the next two users to post asking for one.

Technically, it's against the rules on most torrent sites to 'sell or trade' invites. The odds of getting busted doing so are fairly slim, unless the person you sold a code to reports you.

I could be wrong, but I believe that if the site is down you can still seed but the trackers just never update.

I would be surprised if they're down for good. I'd put money on them changing servers and being back up in a few days. The CRIA just won't give up -_- They've probably lost more money fighting places like Demonoid than they would have by just leaving them alone O_o
