yeah especially on the PS 2. Its horrendus. i waited 3-5 minutes to fight a 3 minute match. the game is good but load times suck,

It's worth the money, I grabbed it last time it was DOTD. And the load times aren't nearly as bad as people make them out to be. It's a very solid game though. I've never gone "Aww! Damn! That looks so painful" before when playing a video game. If that helps sway any one's opinions.

The load times are pretty bad for a next gen game. Regardless, I still prefer No Mercy over this game.

THQ has to go back, obviously, and pull out his character, and all references to him, in SvR 2008. That could possibly cause some delays, since it involves rewriting the script and rerecording the wrestlers' dialogue in the game. I would be more surprised if 2008 came out on time, and truly expect a delay to be announced soon.
So, while the price of 2007, like other sports games, may continue to drop, this one may take a micron longer than others.

I had four different copies of this game for my 360 and none...I repeat, NONE of them would play. The furthest that I could make it was to the wrestler select screen before the game locked up; it's the only game that has ever done that to me...I ended up buying it for the PS2. Not a bad deal at $25, but we're only a few months away from Smackdown vs Raw 2008: ECW Invades hitting the shelves.

The loading times for the 360 don't take much time at all, the PS2 version takes about 2 - 5 minutes to load, but the 360 version takes less then 10 seconds normally (maybe upto 20 or 30 seconds depending on if you are using all CAW's or not).
I'd highly recommend getting this, even for $25.00, it's an excellent game.
An excellent wrestling game if you can get past the load times. Having to sit through three loading screens before actually wrestling one match is painful, but the in-ring action is solid enough to make up for it. A shame they couldn't add in custom soundtracks like there were in the Raw series, but for $25, it's definitely worth checking out for wrestling fans.

Interesting how it's $25 this time, as opposed to $24.99 when I bought it, so if anyone actually wants it, they don't have to find any item to combine for free shipping.

The only thing that drives me nuts is the insane "never going to be possible/happen" achievements, especially for online play.
