So, I go pick up it up today, expecting Rock the 80s and a wristband. Got them both, and on the way home, notice that what was supposed to be the wristband was another copy of the game. Score!

Now I'm wondering what I should do with the second copy.

The wristband comes in a dvd case, with a cover that looks almost like the game (except for a pink banner on the bottom of the cover). For a sec, I thought they were giving me two copies of the game.

When employees don't pay attention, things like that happen. I'm assuming that they just read Guitar Hero Encore: Rock the 80s, and didn't read the wristband part.

I'm all for selling my second copy on CAG, but I got SOL'd on the gift card being sent to the wrong location. I'm waiting to see what happens with that first before I decide on the other copy.

But after a week or two, if you're still looking for it, hit me up.

I picked the game up using in-store today. My girlfriend and I played through it this afternoon. We both really enjoyed it. Growing up through the 80s helps a lot with this game due to nostalgia purposes. The track list is much better than I expected. I'm not disappointed with it at all.

I played through this evening... such memories... alot of the songs I already had on my ipod... Extreme "Play with me"... I knew that would be towards the end... of course the one song I really wanted to play is the final encore... tried it on insane and lasted about 15 seconds... crazy

So what are you guys doing if you were able to order the wristband with the deal for in-store pickup and they don't have it? I thought I saw a post somewhere in this mess that they added on another $10 GC when that person called and complained. I'll see what I can get tomorrow.

My favorite part about in-store pickup is that the Best Buy web site happens to be down every time I go to the store to get my order.

They said the wristband wasn't available online (although it actually was at the time), so they would send me a $10 gift card so that I could pick one up at the store (no thanks, I think I'll actually spend it on something worthwhile :)). However, it just happened that I had somebody cool answer my question. Some other customer support agent might not be so generous.

My store didn't have the wristbands when I picked up my game. Apparently they never recieved it, but the gals at customer service didn't even know that that was a promotional offer with the pre-ordered game >.<
I e-mailed BB online, so hopefully they can help me out.

They e-mailed saying if I don't pick up in 6 days my order will be cancelled, but the gift card has already shipped...my question becomes:

If I never go in to pick up the game, will they cancel the sale, remove the charge on my CC, and I get to keep the gift card?

I received my GC in the mail yesterday. Still haven't received the game yet though. And I'm too lazy to go pick up the wristband. I'll probably try and stop by and pick it up on my way home from work today.

I went to pick up my game and wristband today and got my gc in the mail today! 8-)
I noticed that there is no mention of the game on the gc invoice and vice versa, so maybe it is possible that you can return the game and keep the gc...

Someone please try. I want to get rid of my copy. It's either return it, or trade it to EB and put it towards Bioshock for me.

Got the game yesterday (Hell, got Lost Planet for 360, which I ordered 2 days later today), so if the card don't come by Monday, I'm gonna call them.

Also, fyi, imho the game is barely wirth the technically 20 bucks after pricegrabber. I beat it on hard in one quick sitting, and five starred every song but 2 on first try. Hell, I perfected a couple on first try... Almost half the tracks feel like your stuck in playing rhythm guitar (which I already play in real life) so it's not as fun as the lead guitar driven tracks of previous GH's *end rant

I just came back from Best Buy. They took off $20 for the wristband and $15 GC, so I got $21 and change back. EB Games is taking Guitar Hero for $25, so best you trade your copy in and get a pre-order or something. That was my original plan, but the guy put everything back in the system too quickly... :(

I got the gift card on Friday but no game yet. Most likely Monday. Best Buy emailed me with a survey about there delivery service I feel like tearing them a new ahole but I guess I'll just pass. Asking me for my rating when I haven't gotten the game wasn't a good idea though.

If you don't want the game, you're better off selling it on half.com or ebay. I played it for like 2 days and was done with it. Put it on half.com and sold for 40 bucks in 48 hours. So I broke even and got a 15 dollar gc out of it (plus got to play the game).

I bought four and sold them at a slight loss before factoring in the GCs.

Basically, I got $60 of Best Buy gift cards for $18.

I didn't get the wristbands, but they didn't appeal to me either.

It is a complete waste of time to dump a good deal into Gamestop's lap.

Just got off the phone with customer service. They could not help me, had same problem with the invalid tracking # BB supplied. Game and card were shipped separately on 7/23, got the game on Fri 7/27. CSR said the card has delivery date "by 8-4" so to wait until after then to call back if it hasn't come.

I didn't get my card either. It says it shipped 07/23 by USPS (should have got it by now). I emailed them about it and they said they couldn't access my order because their system is down and to email them back. They then said gift cards under $100 don't come with tracking numbers and are delivered in 4-8 days (its been 8 days and never got it). I may be calling my CC company to do a charge back in the next week or so if they don't get their act together.

Best Buy has been awful through this process. I finally got them to reship the game and gift card to the right address and then I got an email saying the game is backordered and should be available in 1-2 weeks. So much for preordering. I tried canceling the order entirely but they wouldn't let me since they claim the giftcard shipped (which I haven't received).

Ok, so this is in deal graveyard after most can confirm they got there stuff, but the HDDVD goes in deal graveyard same day (less than 12 hours actually)? And this one doesn't even need a link to a rebate form for people to refer back to. Still don't understand what the rhyme or reason is here, since there is no consistency.

I called 1-888-Best-Buy and asked what the deal was with my missing Gift Card. They seemed pretty baffled that the tracking wouldn't work, but admitted that "this sometimes happens with USPS." They said their system showed that the delievery date could be as late as 8/4 (it shipped on 7/24), so unfortunately, they couldn't do anything before then. However, if I don't receive it by 8/4, I can call back, and they said they'd most likely cancel the GC they sent out and issue a new one.

The response was pretty much what I expected. I just hope the card shows up in the next few days so I don't have to wait all over again.

They originally emailed me saying they don't track GC's under $100. They said it should arrive 4-8 days after being sent. I emailed them saying it shipped the 23rd (today is the 2nd) and I still haven't got it. They then replied saying they looked it up and its in transit. How can they track it if they just told me they didn't track GC's under $100. If it doesn't get here by Saturday I will be calling them.
