Okay, so I know there has to be SOME interest for the Simpsons Movie BK promotional toys they are giving away.
http://www.bk.com/simpsons/index.html
You can find them there and what is really cool about them is that they are produced by McFarlane.
So I figured I'd make this topic so people can post what toy is available at BK at the different times.

Having to buy 1 kids meal per toy eith 16 possiblities? Can't I just give the kid in the back a 20 and call it even

when i wanted to get the halloween figures awhile back i was able to buy them separately without having to buy food
edit: they look pretty crappy to me, but to each their own

What's the going rate for a BK Kid's meal these days?
Golden Homer take the prize for being fugly. Can't really say about the others from the web site. Wouldn't mind getting Mr. Burns or Nelson, but having to wade through the rest for the chance isn't appealing anymore.
I've got stacks of the defunct "talking" WOS playsets collecting dust. Haw haw!

Not McFarlanes best work...but they are for Kids Meals.

The Spiderman 3 toys were definitely better, IMO. I still want Maggie and Burns, and Lisa would be nice to put on top of my recycling bin.
Did not even know there were Simpsons toys. Count me in.
Oh, and it appears they talk. Very cool.

They were out this Saturday at the BK in my local mall.
I got Krusty, Wiggum, Lisa and the Golden Homer!
Which was surprising cause while I was in line he was at the top of the pile and I was afraid someone would take him and put him into a kids meal bag.

They aren't done by McFarlane, if you click on the McFarlane Toys bubble, it takes you to the McFarlane toys site....you'll immediately see the difference.

And since we are on the topic of Mcfarlane and Simpsons, I just picked up The Itchy and Scratchy Presidential Politics figure at my local FYE.
I didnt want to get any movie or simpsons figures by McFarlane but this set caught my eye on detail, sculpt and paint. Definetly one of the better McF simpsons stuff out there.

So they have multiple ones available at a time???
And how much does it cost for the figure alone?

Most of the toy promos I've seen don't last more than 4 or 5 weeks, so if there's more than 5 toys, there's probably a specific set for each week. The cost depends on the store. For me, the one closest to my office is 99 cents, and the one near my home is $1.49.
JokerCard
07-23-2007, 08:31 PM
Yeah, it was 99 cents...but be careful,
Ive been too a cople of BKs that try to gouge you with the prices. I mean $2 bucks a pop for one of these is not worth it.
I like the 99 cents price

I went to bk for lunch and got a krusty. I took him back to my office to find out he didnt work(ie didnt talk). I went back after work to exchange him and the guy there let me pick from a fresh case. The first series if i remember correctly is wiggum, lisa, krusty, golden homer and one more person i cant remember. I pulled out a golden homer from the box and he thought there was only 1 per case and offered to sell it to me for 5 bucks. I did a little more digging and found at least 4 more golden homers and then he just let me take one.:D
shady yes, but i got homer so yay
I really thought the bags wouldnt let the toy be visable like the days of the old pokemon toys from bk thus forcing you to buy more. im really glad you can see what your getting

Well, I had this same problem with Krusty the first time I got him.
Its something to do with the batteries inside not "touching" each other properly. So just slide the tab back in and out and maybe a good shake and it should work....at least mine did after that.

I just found out about these today. Went to two different BK's on lunch (first time for that!) Ended up getting Maggie, Lisa, Apu, Wiggum, and Krusty. On charged 75 cents and the other $1.10.
Like I need something else to collect....

07-24-2007, 03:30 AM
Well, at least there are only 16 of these....thats whats good about fast food promotions...a limit

Does anyone else wonder why Barney, a character based around drinking beer, is a kids meal toy.
JokerCard
07-24-2007, 03:57 AM
Well, you asking that is like asking why the Simpsons are advertised at children when they have really adult themes to them....
Wait....actually that is what you are asking...anyways...I dont have an answer...The Simpsons is just something kids of young and old love.

07-24-2007, 12:50 PM
how much is the kids meal with toy?
JokerCard
07-24-2007, 02:40 PM
Could range from $3 to as much as $6 depending on the meal....I tend to just by the figures by itself without the meal for the $1....that way I could stay away from those delicious hamburgers...

My damn burger king didn't get ANY...they said the whole district didn't receive them, but to try Hamlin. (this is a town like 2 or 3 towns from where i live) It's just too long of a drive for a few toys lol if anyone gets any spare Krust, Apu, or Chief Wiggum and don't want an arm and a leg...please send me a PM and maybe we can work something out! I do hope they get the next few ones next week :(

damnit... went 4 times, all of which were krustys. Ah well, least there is a free coupon for a movie rental at blockbuster on the bag which semi pays for itself.

If you really think about it it's strange that there's a Lisa toy. Lisa is a vegetarian who aspires to one day be vegan. If Lisa was real she would never eat at Burger King and would disapprove of it. Places like that represent everything she is against ethically, environmentally, etc.

Well, since my local area didn't receive them, I found out one of my friend's husband had transferred out of area and he's a HUGE simpon's fan so he already snagged a few for 1.49 and said he'd snag me whichever ones I wanted. Might cost an extra 50 cents, but it saves me more in the long run since I don't have to waste gas to go get 'em!

There are 64 of each of the 3 characters in the box along with 8 Golden Homers sprinkled throughout. Here in Denver the stores have been getting these toys every tuesday evening. Most of the toys have been selling out within a day or two. In the local stores today is Series 4 of 5.
