It is highly variable though (in that the odds are not always the same). I know I did a few thousand tries before winning a single game pack. In that time I won 6 or 7 faceplates. This was pretty early on (end of July). And then there are times when it seems no one wins anything (like right before they changed up the free codes to email only). And then it seems there are 1-2 hour periods when it spits prizes like crazy :lol:. This is a very strange contest...

You can only add one at a time to a Silver account. It doesn't show as being good until a specific date. In fact, I don't think it even shows as gold. It just works, but it isn't *really* a gold membership. Unless you only play online occasionally I don't see the point of messing with these 48 hour codes. However, they are great to use for my boys. For the occasional Bomberman match I can use 2 codes on their accounts and we can all play online. But for my main account it was definitely worth shelling out the clearance prices I paid for a couple of 1-year kits ($39 for 2 years) ;).

fuck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My laptop is all Fucked up and now every time I start it up it says hit Ctrl+Alt+Delete to restart computer and it keeps coming back to that screen. Although I'm more of a desktop user myself, you might want to boot up in safe mode. Don't have a clue what could be causing the problem, but chances are it is something messed up in the background. If safe mode doesn't work, then it probably has something with your hardware.

Ah, but I'm trying not to be like a gambling addict ;). You can always think there's a win right around the corner. I set a limit (50 this time, usually much less at one time) and that's all I do. Now, actually, if I WIN a few times I might keep going as it seems like the prizes come and go (it is NOT completely even odds from time-to-time). It looks like a few hours back there was another deluge of prizes. Usually it seems to be early morning (but not 3-5 AM Pacific like when I often try to play - that is a dead zone for some reason). A mid-afternoon spree is kind of odd.

No, but if you keep going and going because a win is "just around the corner" it can have similar effects - like effecting your job and family life ;). Yeah, sure, without the huge financial loss aspect, but similar nonetheless.

Anyway, point is I limit myself to 20 or 30 or 50 tries at once, no more than a couple times a day even if I don't win (though like I said, if I win a couple times in those tries I'll keep going a bit because the prize rate is most likely higher). That way it doesn't consume me.

If you're using gmail, the name+999@gmail.com trick works pretty nice. Just replace 999 with any set of three numbers. Tada, you've got 1000 tries a day to play with.
