-Shipping does take a while. Don't expect anything for a month, and don't worry 'til after 3. But usually it's on the low end of the 6-8 estimate. Bear in mind, though, that a VIP has two stages- the affidavit and the actual prize. So that'll take longer if you win it.

Only time I see you having a problem is if you win multiple items on one day. I haven't pulled this off, so I don't know if it'd be a red flag, but it'd make it easier to tell you're overplaying.

Thats what I do. I have a wordpad divided into points, faceplates, gamepacks, and faceplates given away. For faceplates and gamepacks I keep the authorization code. I do this to keep track of how many I won and see if I got them all.

I've never had a 100pts code not work. I usually enter mine in a max of a couple hours later, but I have traded with other people for ones that I'm sure were older than that.

You're probably doing it wrong. On the sign-up page, make some fake info and then go on and put in the access code and captcha code. Press submit. When you get to the page when you won the 48-hr(or other prize), press back twice on your browser and enter net info(to make it quicker, use like 2 letters for the email and s/n but add like a number after every time).

I dunno if they expire or anything, but some people have said that they had trouble. The only way to know is to enter them in. You can put in the code on your xbox to see if it works without actually redeeming it (just cancel after it says how much it's worth).

That's just another way to write "and" so it's the ampersand - &

EDIT: Actually looking it up it's technically an italicized &. But anyway it's still the & key.

And as for your points problems you can always just make an xbox live gamertag on www.xbox.com (http://www.xbox.com) (it's free) if you don't already have one and then just enter in a really old code. It won't let you cancel it so that'll be one code used, but at least you might be able to see if they're still working :-P.

Or if you want to trust me I can enter a really old one into my xbox live and see if it shows up as working and then cancel it. And if I can't cancel it for some reason I can just give you a points code the next time I win one.

Please, before your waste your time sanding and painting, be sure and do a "test fit" of each faceplate you wish to customize. Many have power button issues. The bad ones, upon installation, hold the power button in so that it won't pop back out to it's normal position. Test a few and you'll see what I mean.

I won my VIP on Thanksgiving Day. I received my affidavit from FedEx on Dec. 5th. Keep in mind that they send out the faceplates and gamepacks at the beginning of each month. It may also be the same with the affy's. I really don't know since I won my VIP at the end of Nov. If you have won a VIP you'll have to get the affidavit notorized.

I don't recall the details, but I know you can dispute the ARV of any prize you have to pay taxes on if you feel it's too high. You probably need some sort of receipts or other proof, but if you think you can cut $200 off you might wanna talk to a lawyer or research it further.

Just my opinion but I think they have changed this game in the past couple of weeks to make winning even harder. I was still able to win even after they changed the security code but now can't win crap. It keeps crossing my mind that a couple of weeks ago people were saying, over on SD, that they were getting the white flash screen and end up only getting a 48 hour code instead of the winning screen. Seems like since around that time I have only won a few 100 MSP'S. Personally I'm starting to think that perhaps even more changes have been made that aren't as noticable as the new captchas.

Anyone else feel the same?? Perhaps we need to rethink how we can play and actually win this game.

P.S. Notice the lack of almost daily post's of someone winning the VIP? That is a post that you don't see very often now.

If anyone wants to hook me up with a face plate that would be awesome i came into this late and only won a 48 hour code. Curious what did they do to make it harder to get a face plate?

Just my opinion but I think they have changed this game in the past couple of weeks to make winning even harder. I was still able to win even after they changed the security code but now can't win crap. It keeps crossing my mind that a couple of weeks ago people were saying, over on SD, that they were getting the white flash screen and end up only getting a 48 hour code instead of the winning screen. Seems like since around that time I have only won a few 100 MSP'S. Personally I'm starting to think that perhaps even more changes have been made that aren't as noticable as the new captchas.

Anyone else feel the same?? Perhaps we need to rethink how we can play and actually win this game.

P.S. Notice the lack of almost daily post's of someone winning the VIP? That is a post that you don't see very often now.

i agree 100% with u... i use to win 100msp every few games easy now it takes about an hour and i MIGHT win 100msp/faceplate... it is without question more difficult now... thank god i won a GP b4 this change

For those of you that have a crapload of codes saved up, you can sell them, I just got $12 for 400+ codes I had saved up from doing this.

I mean obviously there was a limited amount of each prize and as we've seen here it is quite easy to win when you just enter different emails.

You think this is the only message board of people that know this? I guarantee you theres hundreds of other people doing the exact same thing. The contest doesn't have to last long when so many people are entering a hundred or so times a day.

One change I have noticed.......... Used to be you had to be completely logged out from one email addy / username before starting your next email addy/ username. Now it doesn't matter. I think they finally caught on about the unregistered email addresses.
