That guys voice, Gabe Logan, sounds too much like that really bad actor Keanu Reeves.
Am I the only one who thought of that?
Besides that, I do like the game.

I thought the voiceacting was near perfect IMO. I usually hate action games, but I love Dark Mirror.

Logan's voice is pretty stereotypical for a tough guy, but it certainly isn't Keanu Reeves-like to me.
I'm on mission 5, part 1? It's a pain. Tons of soldiers in flak jackets, more soldiers around every corner. It's the stage were you pop the snipers then get out. I haven't gotten out of this stage yet.
Great game. Certainly my favorite PSP game so far.

You too? DM surprised me too... every tactical espionage game from MGS to Splinter Cell to Hitman to Rainbox Six has put me to sleep in every iteration throughout their series, yet DM kept me all the way through.

oh yeah, one thing I forgot to mention. Man, the cut scene movies are awesome for a handheld. Just amazing.

There was about 10 seconds of stealth in this game. I'd call it Gears of War with a silencer.

I disagree. I hate Gears of War but love this.

That's because you're a Sony fanboy. Seriously, just sell your 360 to someone who might actually like it.
Anywho, I'm waiting for the PS2 port. I think it comes out next month but I haven't checked the release date recently.

No clue, I have the PS2 demo but I haven't tried it yet. Then again, I don't have the PSP version so I don't know what I'd compare it to.
At any rate, I'd rather play it with a PS2/3 controller than on the PSP.
Oh my God, I actually agree.

I played my PS2 demo and it definately still looks like a PSP game. It's kind of hard to explain but it seems like all the character models have very sharp edges whereas on console systems (last and current gen at least) character models are more organic and realistic looking. I bet it looks incredible on the PSP but like the GTA "Stories" ports, you can tell it started on the PSP.
That being said, the game seems pretty fun. It's a far fucking cry from from Gears of War though
The MSRP is 29.99 but I think I'll wait for at least a 10 dollar drop.
EDIT - The VA for Gabe Logan sound like a cheap imitation of Sam Fisher. I guess that's their only choice but I found it pretty grating.

Did this game have a good single player campaign? I never got a chance to pick it up but will try before Logans Story comes out, ifs its good single player.

Yes, it was very good. Just finished the story mode last night on normal difficulty. Now to go back and unlock the extra levels and earn some more patches.
Interestingly enough, the last boss, Singularity was easier to defeat than some of the other earlier stages.

Seriously man I found him annoying an tedious. Loved the game but that last fight took me forever to finish with the emp grenades pop out and shoot. Deal with minions etc. Good ending I felt like though :).

The actor is James Arnold Taylor, he also does the voice for Tidus from FFX and Ratchet of the Ratchet and Clank series (except the first one). He's also in a few other games, search for him on IMDB.
Also, little trivia, he did some voices in the recent Hellboy Animated: Blood and Iron. You can pretty much hear Gabe's voice at the end in one of the final flashbacks.

Yes, but I just had to pop the EMP grenade 3 times, shoot him with the gun you find between the tracks in the box near the ATM. It's powerful enough to empty one clip (50 rounds) into him and shave off about 1/3 of his health before the shield goes back up. Remember that you can always use your EDT darts here as well if you don't master the EMP grenade.
And last-last-last resort, you have the handheld "zapper" that will do the same thing. Problem with that is that you'll be close to him so you'll have to shoot on the run (i.e. minimal cover) because he'll initially run then shoot at you as well.
So I guess yah, you're right, he could be tedious....

with such simple things as this taking him out....naaaaaaaa >_>. I was ok with the EMP grenader it was just pumping enough rounds in him while he was down while avoiding gettnig killed by his "help" that made him take so long to me. It really helped that you had a LOT of emp grenades down there they could of been a pain and left you with what you had in inventory only.
