The big rumor is that it was dropping the 8th of August, so they wouldn't advertise it in the 8/5-8/11 ad anyway. I'd say wait until the 8/12 ad to say it's not happening.

Remember, the price drop for the PS3 was in the ads the Sunday after they took effect, and that was the 15th for the ads, though the price took effect either the Monday or Tuesday before. It might drop during that week, though the ads are printed enough in advance that it won't make any difference in the ad printing.

I'd be more curious if the 8/12-08/18 ads were the ones that had the price drops.

Sounds to me like it wouldn't stack BUT seeing as how CC's pricing is dependent on whatever shows up in their computer, I think you could probably raise enough of a stink to get it applied. We won't know until the next sale.

What's wrong with a member supplying additional info via scans? I love what Speedy does, but the scan also shows the that PS3 memory card adaptor is $9.99 and also shows the two DS acc. at $4.99. Plus, people like pictures. The more info the better, no? I don't understand why the board is in such an attack mode on every post that trys to help.

I saw the Gamer's Club CC heavily advertised in two different stores already and every single game was stickered with 10% off when you join labels. ...BUT not a single employee in either store knew what it was or how to sign up for it. Even the manager didn't know what it was! Who the hell stickered all those games and yet didn't know a damn thing about the club? Nobody knew who stickered the games in either store. Lame!

Big plus for me though was that the cashier gave me 10% off anyway since nobody knew how to sign somebody up. They better send out company memos about this before the ad runs.

Did anyone manage to get into it early? I wonder if they had it open in certain markets as a test. If I don't get the free stuff it's much less appealing to join...

I noticed that too. Truth is, finding point carts at CC has generally been dicey at times. When they did the GH2 promotion (the first time) the cards were suddenly impossible to find.
