View Full Version : Eternal Darkness Question (Wavebird Play)
I have yet to play Eternal Darkness but I have it on my shelf and I heard you need the regular controller for some parts of the game (puzzles) due to the rumble. If I play through with the Wavebird is it just one part that I can read about and get past or is it multiple parts that may ruin the experience?

Honestly I can't even remember. But I would suggest playing with the regular controller if possible. When I beat the game it was with the regular controller because the Wavebirds weren't even released yet. If you have no alternative then just play with the wavebird. It's an engrossing gaming experience either way.

How do you have only Wavebirds? Didn't your GC come with one regular controller?
Anyhow, you could buy a used GC controller at EBgames then return it within 7 days and say you didn't like the way it felt. I don't think Eternal Darkness takes that long. I haven't played it in forever though.

From what I remember, the rumble isn't required. Hell, you can probably even turn off rumble in the options, so that answers that question.

just finished ED, you can turn off the rumble. and while the insanity effects and heartthrobbing is fun with a regular controller I played most of the game with my wavebird no problem.
