A Sony patent application (http://appft1.uspto.gov/netacgi/nph-Parser?Sect1=PTO2&Sect2=HITOFF&p=1&u=%2Fnetahtml%2FPTO%2Fsearch-bool.html&r=1&f=G&l=50&co1=AND&d=PG01&s1=20070174531&OS=20070174531&RS=20070174531) filled in September 2005 has just popped up showing a PS2-controller-PSP-dock. In a nutshell, this makes it possible to control the PSP, making this contraption the first ever dual-analog rumbling portable able to perfectly replicate PS2 game play. Wonder if this will be implemented in the new PS3 controller and PSP Slim? 'Cause I would so use this.
