$30 for a "Advance Gameport" It works just like a Gameboy Player except it's like $20 cheaper.

Thats actually old, and does not work like a gameboy player. While a gameboy player actually has gameboy advance hardware so it actually plays the games, this one only emulates games.
It can only play GBA games, and since it emulates then they will no doubt be problems with newer games, that it can't run properly.
In this case its not worth it to be a cheap ass. Just get the real one for $45 at Best Buy with the GGC.

Well, whatever this one does, I hope it at least has actual sound on it. Unlike that "rocket" whatever GB emulator for the N64 which had the most dehumanizing looping tune IN THE HISTORY OF THE DAMN WORLD!!

You can also get a used one from Gamestop/EB (my local Gamestop has tons). $40 for a used one, $36 if you have their discount card.

Gamestop's card only works on software. I could be wrong, but I assume the card won't work on the Player.

I made the mistake of buying one of those, It only works on SOME gba games, and it seems to play the games at about 75% speed...

I've had no problems using it on used hardware at any of the Gamestops in my area.
