I went with my cousin to a generic $.99 store in Queens. He told me they had great old SNES and NES. I didn't believe but went with him anyway. To my surprise, I saw some really great games. They had Star Fox, Mario All Stars, and Street Fighter II: Turbo. They had many other games for other systems as well. My cousin took Mario All Stars and Street Fighter II and I kept Star Fox. He said he had once found a beat up copy of Earthbound in the store.

So, check out you local $.99 store for some cheapass classic games (YMWV).

I will murder infants for that...
What store was it exactly?

BTW: I believe this post belongs in the bragging forum.

I'm assuming they were used and in bad condition.

Damn, I've never stepped foot into the one in my town. I'll surely have to check that out.

I'm sure this is extremely YMMV.

But I did find a huge pile of sealed Atari 2600 games (like 75 games) at a dollar store about four years ago.

I don't know exactly what store that was as I don't live there. My cousin drove me to the store. I will e-mail him and ask what staore that was.

I know that once at my .99 cent store I was able to find NBA Jam for Sega Genesis. I also found some other crappy sports titles, but I didn't really care for them. AFter that encounter, I have never seen another ,99 cent game, except sometimes for truly crappy games at Gamestop, Gamecrazy, or EB.

One time just before Christmas at Big Lots I found two boxes containing probably 25 or 30 different Atari 7800 games. I think they were priced 3.00 each, 2 for 5, 4 for 8 or something like that. I bought 20 or 30 games and gave them all to my brother for Christmas [we had just gone in together on a 7800.] It was near the end of the console's lifecycle, but still.
I'd definitely calls this a YMMV. Somewhere, some buyer claimed a warehouse full of goodies.

Pawn shops are good too.

My friend claims to have gotten Mario RPG for SNES with the box and instructions for $15.
He said his cousin or dog ruined the box.
Then he sold me it and instructions for $10.

I don't think Dollar Tree will have them as they're a chain and sells mostly their own company made stuff. I could be wrong, though?

I was in a Dollar Tree a couple days ago and saw a little rack of crappy PC titles. Mostly educational stuff.

There's a dollar store around here called Deal$ that usually has Genesis games, but they're always old sports titles.

The dollar store I go to has some PC games and Game Boy accessories (link cables, covers, etc.). No console games.
