I know Linkin mainly from the Vegas Nights (I think... my memory is kinda fuzzy at the moment). He seems fine in there as far a person.

As far as how people deal with confrontation, mediation and the such... it's really tough to tell from a message board. I mean there's two things that come to mind to me, which are kind of connected:

1) In both of my jobs, I have to confront people on a daily basis usually because they're doing something wrong or even illegal. I put on a completely different face there than I do here, because to me right now, this is where I have fun, relax and goof off.

2) Which is connected to that point, is people don't want to come in as a moderator type person (that is confronting people or mediating disputes) if they're not in that position. So, basically, I think you have to give people some time in the job to see how they deal with confrontation and mediation. It's really tough to tell how they'll act when their position/level of power changes.

Just my two cents.

If you can swing two hard drives, then you could set them up as RAID 1, which will write data to both drives at once. One drive fails, you won't lose all your data. If you use the external to do backups, then you'll be doubly protected.

I would say he would do better with a 7900 GS. Cheaper than the 8600GT and a better card. The 8600 GT doesn't bench that much better than a 7600GT.I think that a 8600GT would be OK for what he's doing, since it'll give him a DX10 card w/256MB to make Vista happy. A 7900GS was my second thought, though I think price is more of an issue than going with a better DX9 card than a lesser DX10 card. 7900GS is a better card for gaming, yes, though when we get to more with DX10 games, then it might be more of an issue and worth worrying about later.

Hell yeah. I love the gas, man. Not a fan of getting put ALL the way under, usually end up puking later on. My hernia surgery was awesome. Morphine was injected and as it went up my arm, it felt like fire, and when it hit my shoulder, I felt nothing. I remember the nurse saying "Count backwards from 100" and I laughed and said "This never works for me. 100, 99, 98.."

Blinked and the surgery was over. I told them they should get started. She laughed and said they were already finished. Couldn't stand up for two weeks (the incision was literally right at my torso). That was fun.

This is what happened to my friend. He got the temp crown in the emergency, then he went back to get the real crown, but he still had one more appointment left to do something to it after the second visit... he's usually pretty unhappy after he goes... and it's all about "soft foods" and being careful how you chew.

Nothing major, but it's really tender and the incision is in such a place and swollen enough that it hurts to talk or eat. :/

I'm not getting put under, I'm just getting gassed.. nitrous oxide, I think. I'll be able to sorta hear what they're doing/saying, but I won't really feel anything.

Last time I had it was when I was a fair bit younger, had to have a tooth pulled for some reason or another (I think it was a leftover baby tooth that didn't want to come out) and I remember feeling them inject my gums with something to numb the area around the tooth.. and I remember choking. When I came to, I asked what I was choking on. Turned out that I was choking on my own blood. Yay. I hate dentists. The guys/girls i'm going to now are a lot better, though. The one before seemed like it was kids straight out of med school or something.

Re crowns: Putting them on doesn't hurt, just a little uncomfortable. Once they're on and the novacaine wears off... you've got about 2-3 days of slight pain in the gums directly above/below the crown. After that, you're all good. As far as eating shit... you can eat whatever within 2-3 hours after the crown is put in.

Re lordwow's talk about moderator's: I know what you mean. I'd never been put in a position of authority until I got promoted to manager at Blockbuster. Definitely not a huge burden of authority, but still... if you've never had to do it before, you'll probably crack under pressure and just give in. It's taken me a lot of time to force myself not to hand over my cojones everytime someone throws out a complaint. Without adding some sort of liquid, I don't see how these items could possibly be harmful/dangerous (unless you're going to shove them into someone's orifice's and then duct tape them shut). If you can add liquid, then yes I can imagine it being possibly dangerous.

I got Shenmue 2 free from like a trade or something. I had Shenmue 1 on Dreamcast never beat but played it alot. So I tried to watch the DVD that tells the story one time when really drunk. Passed out like 10 minutes later, and never played Shenmue again.

Right now, I think they're saying Spring 2008, though it's anyone's guess as to whether or not they'll actually be ready by then.

I've got faith in Will Wright and I'm sure the game will be awesome when it does ship, but I was thinking I'd have it...y'know, a few months ago. :-(

So I just got together 16 DS games that I'm going to unload at Gamestop for $179 (wiki prices +10% extra +$10 promo). Seems like a lot of games for that amount, but in my mind I'm trading 16 games for a new PSP. Seems like a good deal to me for games I won't play again.

Hopefully Gamestop will take preorders on the new PSP.

The only games I would consider trading/selling would be if it sucked IMO. But again, I don't sell anything. A lot of it is because I get urges to play old games all the time, even after I've beaten them or whatever, and I hate not having that game if it happens.
