That's why I find it hard to justify buying sport games very often if ever. Because of them being updated every freakin year (ie: Madden) unless there are more than enough improvements along with a nice sale price to justify buying it right away.... I tend to wait until several markdowns.

For a store near a Best Buy (like most retail stores are) and half a mile west of THREE Gamestops (Seriously, Westland has three Gamestops pretty much at the same intersection), I never step foot in one, unless there is some deal. And in the past year, not a single advertised deal has gone smoothly.

Yeah I'm starting to hate my CC more and more. It had the old figures of Vincent, Barrett, Tifa and Aeris icluding the chocobo and frog that came with tifa and aeris. It had an old figure of Selphie and the new 12 inch Vincent Advent Children figure.

I'm torn on it - it might be decent, but SNL has taught me that Lonely Island is hit or miss and, judging from the reviews, this looks like one of their misses.

SNL in general has gone downhill so much in the past few years that it's barely watchable. Five minutes of fart jokes is not my idea of humor (I can't remember what episode it was, but I swear I saw a sketch like that a few months ago).

We just stepped out and did some shopping and grabbed a bite. All the bitching about CC reminded me that I had the gift card, so I picked up FFVI for the GBA. (Although I have it for the SNES and PS1 already...) I wanted to get RE4 for the Wii, but didn't want my son to see me buying it.

Here's a funny story that'll make more sense given that my wife was on here: while we were driving, "WAtching the Wheels" came on the iPod, so I was singing along. Juggers told me to stop singing because "You're not John Lennon."

WTF? My monitor's on the fritz, as all it does it does turn off and off repeatedly for as long as the power cord is plugged in. So I looked to see if anything was on sale, though that may have been the problem since it's the end of the week. I saw a nice-looking monitor on BB.com for $130 that was in stock at the closest BB, so I did the in-store pickup option and waited for the emails so I could go pick it up. The first bad sign was that my email wouldn't update until I signed out and back in, but once that was done I found out that it wasn't in stock. I could have it shipped, but seeing as I could use it right now, that wasn't an option. I could wait eight days while they hold the $130+tax and then cancel the order themselves, but if I needed the monitor now, why the fuck would I wait? So I called them, had them cancel the charge, and I'm just going to wait until tomorrow to just pick one up at the beginning of the week when it should be in stock.
