ah!

I went to Frys yesterday (Woodland Hills; to get $20 copies of Salamander and Twinbee) and saw this in the PSP section:

see how deep that bottom row is? all the other shelves of the game are just as deep!! There's over 300 copies!

btw, Exit is a great game. Everyone should buy one!

plus obviously when u look at that supply, it may one day become real rare and u can sell it on ebay for $70

Wow. Also, Frantix looks like it's coming in a close second.

Fry's always seems to have PSP bundles containing Exit, Frantix, GripShift and/or Virtua Tennis -- all games the store has a clear overabundance of at the Sunnyvale location (nothing like the OP's picture, though).

Good thing about that is they can't possibly sell all those copies. Those might be some good flipping credit in the future.

Daaaaaaaaaaaamn..

I was just thinking about running out to grab a copy of Exit.

Then I thought to myself "Hey, do I really wanna frustrate myself anymore after PQ and MGA?"

How much are the selling for?

bomberman comes in third in that pic... way behind frantix and exit though.

Is that a yellow teletubbie back there?

How much are the selling for?$9.99 yo!

not as good as the $8.96 I paid at CC, but the game is worth more than 10 bux imo.

and no teletubby in the background...

every Frys store has like a "theme" to it.

Woodland Hills' theme is Alice in Wonderland.

There's also a ton of them at the Orange County Fry's. It's weird, because Fry's does have low clearance prices on some games...just not this one, which they have a ton of.

Not every Fry's. New stores discontinued the 'theme' idea, as my local one (Oxnard, about 40 miles from yours) has no theme at all.

Classic!

This definitely seems like something I would read about on a gaming blog, so you might want to shop it around. Or hell, maybe it could even be front-paged here.

Either way, you don't see something like this everyday.

DEar god. I want a Fry's near me. That section is awsome.

I've never seen 1 copy of exit near me, let alone that bountiful $9.99 bonanza.

Next time JEKKI ask soem employees where the store EXIT is... keep denying their answer until they point you towards the PSP game section.

You do if you have a Fry's near you. It's not uncommon for them to have lots of copies of any game, as they buy a ton of everything, but it's strange for them to have them all out on the shelves. Mine hides extra copies so that the shelves never look like the ones in the OP.

That is awesome. So is the game.

And me like a dumbass, I ordered the game for $15 online. Of course, it would cost me $5 for gas just to drive to a local Frys so I guess everything balances out....

HAHA. Nice. I have to try that sometime. For an added effect and more realism, act like you are a visitor from another country and have a minimal grasp of the English language.

frys in sacramento had that many the last time i was there.

Damn... that's... a lot of copies alright. You'd think they'd mark them to like $4.99 to get them moving.

I bet someone pissed off their boss and he said "You know what- go put ALL of these out on the shelves!"

Not sure if this game is good or not, but I couldn't resist a deal. Picked up a copy at my local FRy's for $9.99.

lol, and the reason why Exit 2 will never come to the US is in the first post!

I think I only got to the last 10 or 20 stages on Exit 1 tho...

it was actually currently in my UMD drive until I replaced it with Salamander.

You can only play it for so long until u take a long break...

then u pick it up again and repeat the process!

Next time I decide to play the game it should be finished, with a perfect score in every stage!

then it'll be time for part 2!!

Hahaha, that's awesome. I'm a happy PSP owner, but it's still hilarious to me how Fry's way, way overestimated the system's popularity. Every time I go to the Palo Alto one there are racks of UMD movies at the end of almost literally every aisle. Of course, that's just movies... they don't have quite as much of a game surplus.

I was going to say... WTF! My Fry's (the one in OR) looks like a sterile warehouse. I couldn't imagine it having an "Alice in Wonderland" theme

And they have a few copies of these games but nothing like what's pictured. I see several Field Commander too - that's a game I've been waiting on forever. What is it there now? I have a $17 sale copy from Target but I was really hoping for better (like $10).

That's clever. I'll have someone else do that though b/c I frequent Fry's a lot. If I go back in they'll be like, "Hey, it's that bastard again! He gave me a hard ass time, kick him out!"
Actually, a couple of my friends work there, hopefully I can find one of them and mess with their head :-P

The Fry's in my area has an alien invasion theme, good stuff. They also have a huge amount of copies of Exit as well.

That's just Fry's for you. They stock way too many copies of some games.
