View Full Version : Learned something new today.
Had an auction that went unpaid for a couple of weeks. Buyer didnt reply to any message from me asking for some sort of contact to lmk they were still going through with it.
So I file the NPB dispute.
Couple days later they finally reply saying I need to wait a few more days then theyll pay me.
F'that. No contact and they want more days,, I closed out the dispute got my credit. So I thought.
It got reversed because the buyer says that less than 3 weeks is too short of a time to expect a payment. Technically "my rule" is 10 days.
So essentially regardless of how shitty they are towards sellers now, if they say thell pay sooner or later or some other lame f'n excuse, ebay will now reverse NPB strikes.

So you're saying eBay originally refunded your listing fees then took them back because you didn't give the buyer long enough (3 frickin' weeks!) to pay for the auction? That is whack!

Wow, that sucks. These days I always sell fixed price with immediate payment required, so I can completely avoid the NPB problem.

Take your sweet-arse time shipping it out to them if they ever pay for it. :)

Yeah but then I bet the buyer files a dispute and wins because the seller doesn't ship fast enough.

Ebay is getting horrible as far as supporting the seller. WTF, we are the ones that keep them in business.
This morning I got with ebay "live" help and apparently its a "internal glitch" and Im to rest assured I did recieve a credit for it.
Ill prob go this route two or three more times as long as it says what it says in the dispute console.

That is what I do. Doesn't get as many people, but at least it keeps away the npb :)
