Do you think I should have to pay 1/3 of the bills for my parents considering the following

1. I get no say in the workings of the household
2. I get no say in my medical care (United Cerebral Palsy isn't exactly fun considering I DON'T HAVE CEREBRAL PALSY!)
3. I have to ask to leave the house. On top of that I get searched upon leaving the house, and coming home.
4. I get searched when my parents see something bulging out of my pockets.
5. Everything I do requires there approval
6. Everything I do requires there stupid ass comments and questions
7. My mom has a restriction on my bank account in which only she can get money out for me. On top of that, she steals money that I earn from a job, and also puts me in unwanted debt.

Considering those points, should I have to pay them rent?

I'd say he isn't old enough to move out if he has to ask this question. There also seem to be some trust issues in that house. You need to address those first.

After that, take a couple weeks off from your job but tell your parents you quit and that they forced you to do it. No job, no stealing your money, no paying rent. And if they kick you out, you'll be better off wherever you go. Especially since you still have a job. :D

1. There is something wrong with your parents, since they are not acting in a way that one would expect the parents of a 20-yr-old.
2. There's something wrong with you. This sounds like it is at least partially true, but really, none of us know all the facts about this, and you could very well be distorting them without knowing it.
3. Most likely, a combination of both the above.

The funny thing is that my parents are such hypocrites. I searched there room while they weren't home and found interesting shit. I found marijuana, painkillers, sex toys, mental medication in my mom's name, and a picture of some naked black guy running in the grass, who he is I have no idea.

But let my parents catch me with marijuana, and they will take it on me, call the police and throw me in the psych ward at ECMC. Then they will go and smoke it on me. My parents fucking suck! I am 19 years old and they feel like they have to control me because I live in their house. Ok once again there's Arnie... and here's some actual advice:

You're old enough to vote. You're old enough to do things to girls. You can go to prison. You can drive. Last week You even got into an 'X' film... er enough Young Ones references, here's the deal... You ARE 20 years old, I was bumped on out of the nest at 18, so if I can do it I'm sure you can. I moved in with a friend and his family for a couple months and eventually headed off to college, lived in the dorms for awhile and then moved on to apartments. It would seem as though you have a regular job, so here's what I would do in your scenario:

1. Start saving money NOW, don't let your parents know how much you have, if they're asking for paychecks forge a fake one and edit it so you can keep your fair share. I don't care if they claim to know how much you make, say you took a paycut, it's not uncommon these days.

2. Open up your own bank account. You're a big boy now stash that money away where your greedy parents can't get at it.

3. Get a car. Personal choice or not, you have to do it. A car=independence. Trust me on this. I'd almost be willing to wager you don't have your license, but that's really not that hard to get. Once again, trust me, there's plenty of idiots on the road, so you don't have to be a genius to get a license and a car.

4. Friends, if you have a lot then that's great, if not make more. Lots of guys your age are moving out of home, if you can find someone that's moving into an apartment, maybe they'll need a roommate, and maybe they'll ask you. If that's not your style, I don't know where you live, but if you're near a college campus there's always postings about people looking for a sub-leaser or another person to sign their lease with them. This is usually a very safe way to go. True if you don't know the people very well you run the risk of not getting along, but anything is better than your parents right?

5. Once you're financially secure, have a car and a potential place to move out to, let your parents know how you feel. Tell them that you feel like you're getting used, etc. Since you're over 18 they can kick you out of the house, so you need a place to go before you decided to let them know you're not taking any more shit from them.

6. This ends in one of two ways: A. Your parents back off after you talk to them; B. You move out and liberate yourself, you're a grown man if you don't like your situation follow those steps and do something about it.

In all honesty, he reminds me of my 1st roomate from college. He lived in the city on Doat St, basically a poor neighborhood. His mom, who was refered to as "the bitch" was overweight and bossy, his dad is in a wheelchair with stumps for legs, and they lived on welfare pretty much. He was always unkempt and most of his jeans were patched in the crotch. He was a kinda big boy and wasn't very social.

Anyway, he hated being at home and he spent most of his time in his room and ate rarely while he was there because "the bitch is in the kitchen". Now he blamed his parents for everything and wanted to leave but could never get a full time job (I won't go into that). So he graduated from college and couldn't stand being home, so after a few months, he found a school that would give him money to attend, so he traveled across the country and now lives in San Francisco. He had a van which he abandoned months ago and is now homeless as he lives with a bunch of squatters and eats out of dumpsters. I hear from him every so often when he borrows someone's cell phone or see him online when he uses his school's facilitys. He hates his parents so much that he'd rather be homeless and eat out of dumpsters then move back. He's now 24 too, so that could be you in 5 years.

When I was 20 years old, my mom was making less than 20k/year, I had a minimum wage job, and my dad wasn't in my life. But my life at 20 rocked because:

1. I was attending a 4 year private university working on an engineering degree. (Without paying a dime out of my own pocket)

Dude, I don't know you, but you are facing some SERIOUS problems. Not just with your parents (who seem really overbearing), but also with your attitude.
I would really suggest you get a change of scenery. Can you move in with some uncle or grandparent? Maybe move in with someone else's parents? I have a good friend who moved out of her parents' house because it was bad there, too (she was 19 at the time). It made a huge difference to be with some well-adjused people.
At some point, you'll need to realize that your messed-up situation is only PARTIALLY the fault of your parents, and PARTIALLY your fault, beecause of how you respond to it.

I read a really good book that helped me in a similar situation a few years ago.

I went to look at an apartment run by UCP a while back. I was told I would have a roommate, his name was Dave, and that he was "High Functioning". On top of that he started to feel himself up in front of me and my service coordinator. This guy looked like High Pitch Eric from Howard Stern. I go tto meet other "High functioning people", A girl with CP, a guy in a wheelchair. How the hell are these people High Functioning? To top it off the building was all run down, and I was told by my service coordinator that the guy I would be living with, steals money from people. Though I have seen people give you advice like it was falling rain, I'll give you some. First of all, WTF!!! You are over 18 get out of there. You have posted earlier that the police sided with you, if that is so that go to them and file a complaint or ask for a restraining order. Go get welfare and live off of that until you can get your feet running you know. Sure its not the best, but by the sound of what happening to you, anything is better than that. Here's an idea, on one of your outings on the bus, go to a P.O Box and make yourself one. After that, start slowly mailing all of you stuff to it. Then on another one of your outings find some place (i.e apartment, condo for rent, house for rent) and sign on the spot for it and leave it as that. He could, but I doubt SSI would take that very well. You see, from what DLF has said before, he has a representative payee. This means that he has been found mentally incompetant to handle his own finances.

Sure, he could set up a different account at a different bank, but then more likely than SSI would see these as trying to "hide" money, so they would cease payment.
