Yesterday I get a notice from pay pal saying theres a dispute going on.
I do some checking in to and it appears that someone who won and paid for a game on July 23rd, says they didnt get the game yet.
They claim that they requested delivery confirmation number and shipping info several times etc etc and that I wasnt willing to give up the info.
I do some digging and I get the DC # out.
Paid for on the 23rd, shipped on the 24th, recieved on the 28th.
I reply, give pay pal the dispute number showing it was recieved and they escalate the dispute for pay pal to review. They claim that because I waited so long to give them the DC#, their post office said its too far gone for them to look into and that Ive been giving them the run around.
Theyre verified confirmed etc etc and the address provided was the address shipped to.
Its amazing how people will rely on pay pal disputes to save a 1.50.
If it hadnt been delivered and they had purchased ins, I would have refunded and gone after the ins claim myself but theres no way Im willingly giving them a refund when the DC says they got it.

You should't. Seriously what is wrong with paypal? They give back the money to them even though you prove it was sent. :-#
They havent given back the money yet. With the DC# and them being confirmed, I should have pay pal protection covering me.

I had the same and got screwed anyways. Good luck to you. Paypal sucks

If they were confirmed and you had DC showing the addy shipped to recieved, how did you get screwed?
If you look at the Buyer and Seller protection policies for Paypal it seems like Paypal is basically providing insurance for transactions gone awry. However, after reading multiple threads of people getting screwed it seems that Paypal feels it has to blame someone as it will never pay up. Either the buyer will pay or the seller will pay, but never will Paypal.
Will, you have done nothing wrong, have delivery confirmation (which meets their criteria), and yet they want you to cover the loss? That is not right. It doesn't say anything in the seller protection policy about when the DC info has to be provided.
I really think these types of situations need to be reported to the BBB.

ebay/paypal sucks threads are about as common as gamestop/eb sucks threads nowadays, we should just make two stickies.

They aren't going to care if one person threatens them with it, but if a multitude of complaints are filed who knows, something may change.
It really seems like their protection policies are false advertising. Class action anyone?

The BBB has no power. Companies pay to be members, so what do they care? Answer, they don't. Paypal sucks.

Im honestly not worried. I personally feel that this is being done to f' with my pay pal acct because I didnt kiss this bitches ass.
Their protection policy basically states that as long as they were confirmed and I have proof of recieving, which they were and I do, Im golden.
I just think when its pretty cut and dry in cases like this, it blows that my acct is put on lockdown.
Didnt someone mention that someone high up with Ebay is on the California portion of the BBB so most complaints are rumored to be swept under and not delt with?

Because it was a bank charge back (the guy was over his limit) and paypal said that they would not reimburse me.
