Power Rangers: Super Legends 11/06/07 according to Gamefaqs.
Is this real?
Hell of a way to end a systems life if so.

The last retail games for a system are usually crap.

Try the NES. It ended with an unlicensed 3rd party game; Sunday Funday. Though technically, on an official level, Wario's Woods was the last NES title.
Anywho, yeah, no console has had a good ending. Dreamcast was supposed to end in the US with Shenmue II. Project was shifted over to Xbox, Dreamcast ended in the US with a mediocre NHL 2K title.

I am sad that the Gamecube is passing away, but since I've got basically the entire catalog of good Gamecube games as backlog, my true mourning period won't come for several years.

It's about as bad as the N64. The last game to be released on that was Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3.

What? It may be a mediocre port in comparison to the other versions of it, but it's a hell of a lot better than Power Rangers or the licensed crap that sees most other consoles out. :-?
Really, I'm surprised that that's the last game. With the GameCube compatible with the Wii and a much cheaper buy-in to boot ($40 used now), I was thinking that it'd show at least a bit of the longevity that the PS1 did. Sure, the new titles for it were either for five year olds or complete crap at that point, but the PS1 saw new titles for years after it should have died.
Guess that wasn't meant to happen here, and the lack of third party support throughout the GameCube's life should have been a clue. Oh well. :-(

Is there any actual proof this will be the last game?
Not that I dont trust gamefaq's posters explicitly or anything..
it is not much better than Xbox 1 ending with Madden?

Dunno if that game will ever come out for the cube.
I believe Gamecubes getting Madden 08 on Tuiesday tho...

Yep. Both the Xbox & GC versions are $40 while the PS2 version is $50. Guess it pays to support a dead system when games get cheaper.
Speaking of that last game, they're still making Power Ranger shows? Talk about beating a dead horse.

I thought the same thing too. Didn't Power Rangers die a quick death from blunt force trauma back in the 90's?

I have a feeling that anything after Madden will probably end up getting cancelled. I guess we'll see, though.

Im just saying this on a guess, not on fact.
I think the difference would be that PS2 games, probably cost QUITE a bit more to develop than PS1 games did.
I wouldn't think there would be that big of a cost jump between making a game for the cube, or just making it a Wii game.
The PS1 i would assume also had a much larger user base 1 yr in to the PS2's life span than the Cube still does.
I could be wrong though.
