Yeah, it converts to 128WMA files and 100 songs takes about an hour. Then, if you want to use them in games, you have to convert from music mixer to hdd and that takes like.. another hour. Maybe an hour and a half. Lost some sound quality, but it still works alright.

it may not include the mic, just get it used at BB for 15 after GGC. And Karaoke on it isn't that great. You can get one more free song from XboxKaraoke.com . The best thing this is used for is to label you transfered songs and put mp3s on your xbox.

Why would it not include the Mic? That doesn't make a lot of sense.
Only 1 left.

yeah I know it doesn't, But EB often sells guncon games minus the guncon and I'm sure they are going to soon sell a used donkey konga games minus the drums. I didn't click the link when it was alive. Did the page say it included the mic ? Because you just never know with eb. The mic isn't required to run the music mixer. It's only needed to sing the Karaoke. But if it doesn't have mic, you can use your xbox live head set to sing Karaoke and feel like a pop singer with a head mic.
Also I just ran my copy and went on live, there was some new DLC. I even got the free Jingle Bells Karaoke song. I'm a sucker for DLC even if I'll never use it.

I debated this one, but the no mic thing has me on the fence.
I think I'll go with this instead to ease my mind:

It should be included. I did not see it say it wasn't included and in the features it says...
"Karaoke - R-E-S-P-E-C-T. Everyone will now find out what it means to Xbox users across the land! Thanks to the included microphone, players can showcase their vocal talents (or lack thereof) "

this reminds me that I need to update the songs on my hard drive. xbox of course.
So how exactly does the mixer connect from your comp to the Xbox? Standard networking cable?

yeah, the same way you hook it up if you've ever used XBC.

I own this thing and HATE it. The karaoke ability is crap. The mic is far too quiet, and the "vocal removal" feature merely tones down all treble, making the song sound like an awful mess. Never bothered to try the whole ripping-from-PC aspect.

I actually like the karaoke aspect of it. Unfortunately you are limited to the songs available from xboxkaraoke.com. They used to have a lot more songs, but appear to be dropping songs left and right.

I just bought it @ Best Buy this weekend for $14.99 after GGC and its a little more complicated to get it to dump MP3's from your PC than you'd think.
I tried to load up my MP3's from my PC and kept getting a “Unable to complete import. The connection to your PC was lost,” error when on the xbox. Upon reading more closely I discovered that you need to use a crossover or system link cable and a Straight Ethernet Cable will NOT work, so now I need to go out and buy a cheap crossover cable at CompUSA and drag my laptop over to the Xbox to rip the songs.
I wish somebody would make a program/cable that would let you dump from an Ipod to the xbox directly.

Mine arrived today WITH the microphone and software.
Is it worth buying? Can you play Karaoke from cds? Like can I save a cd like CKY Infiltrate-Destroy-Rebuild onto the Xbox and then put it in the game and then sing?
