Please note that the recharging cable listed in the description is not included with it, so keep that in mind. Some CAGs that have pointed that out to Amazon.com have received the Play-And-Charge kit sent to them for free, or had a discount off the order.

Seems to be controller only (without receiver).Incorrect. This is the same item I ordered on July 6th, and it came with the receiver. There's no way they could make this work with a Windows PC without the receiver. Wired controller, it's USB, so you don't need the receiver.

No recharge cable, but I did get 10% off because amazon screwed the product description. Also it is a regular 360 wireless controller with the receiver for a computer ($20 on amazon). Pretty good deal if you ask me.

I ordered mine on July 6th and it didn't ship till August 4th. I emailed Amazon about the missing recharge cable. They told me that they couldn't ship it separately. They did not offer any type of refund or rebate and told me to contact Microsoft directly. Which I thought was the wrong thing to do but at that price I wanted to keep the controller anyway even without a cable I already have.

So I wound up with a 22.94 controller and adapter. Awesome deal.

Instead, they sent another controller + receiver. I call them up last night to explain that the cable is not in the box and is not supposed to be in the box. The rep apologizes profusely and looks to see if they have any in stock to ship to me. They do, and ship out via overnight. When I got the tracking info I see that they have once again sent out the controller + receiver, which I should be receiving today. Sadly, yes, I have to return all of the products I won't be keeping (at their expense though). But at this point, Amazon is losing the purchase price in shipping expenses.

wow this is somewhat better then the original 32.99 deal.
i say somewhat because Amazon FINALLY fixed their product info on the recharge cable now so there's no more chance of sweet talking the CS for a little refund. some got up to 10$ or 10% back off.

as for me i dont own a 360 yet, and i cant really think of a game i want to play on the PC with the controller.
sayin that i am still somewhat tempted because this is pretty damn cheap.

It been running $37.99 on sale the lask few weeks and while reading the last thread I notice its dropped to $26.00 now. Yes it works for the 360 as well...

Here is the original thread when it was marked down for a few days at the beginning of July for $32.99. Several cags reported anywhere from a $5-$10 discount because they did not receive the cable. At the time a recharge cable was listed and several cags were able to get a plug/play kit shipped as well.

For $26, that's good for a 360 controller. But that damn receiver annoyed the hell out of me. It worked when I first got it and installed it up until I stopped using my 360 controller and turned it off. Then it never could communicate with it again.

Since I never saw the $26 price I'm not going to email Amazon about a refund for the difference.

I've never had any problems with the receiver. I installed the software, which upgraded itself to 1.1, then plugged in the receiver and have had no problems since.

This is worth an email to see if I can sweeten this deal even more. I ordered it when it was originally 32.99, but they gave me a 10 dollar credit because of the charging cable. I think it'd be incredible if they refunded me 7 dollars as well. That would put the controller and receiver at 15.00 or so.
