Well I sell a book on ebay. They take ohhhh say six days to respond to me. Then another four days to send out a money order. Then they only pay for media mail. I get the payment on about August 2nd or so. I send out August 3rd. They recieve the item in about six days or so. They leave me a negative feedback saying the item took too long to recieve? So you pay for the CHEAPEST method of shipping, pay by a way that takes several days to recieve THEN have the gall to complain about shipping times? So because they take an enormous amount of time to respond and send payment they place this blame on me?

Oh well, another person to block. And time to revise my policy. I have a fourteen day period for payments which is incredibly lenient. But this kind of abuse is starting to grate. I try to be lenient on this and this is how I get treated? Damn Texans. Why is it that all problems I had on ebay have been From Texas? :bomb:

Got one like that right now. Guy bought a couple wrestling DVDs around the 25th. Sent a money order out on August 1st and still haven't received a damn thing. Contacted him yesterday about it and got a weird message. It basically said that "it usually takes 2 weeks for you to receive".

WTF? I know from sending first class it does not take two weeks for something to get from utah to ohio. I just know the ass is going to knock my feedback cause he paid for media mail.

Why not ask the buyer why they negged you? I can't imagine why anyone would leave you a negative in that situation, unless there is something you aren't telling us?

I got one of the all-time shitty negatives the other day -- my first in like 200 transactions, by the way. Here's the story:

Dude buys my The BiGS PS3. Pays fine, I send. Turns out a few of the other people I sent other stuff to at the same time didn't get theirs after a week. I email to see if he got his. No answer. A month later, I email him again.

He leaves me negative feedback that says, "I don't leave feedback, sorry." I bitch him out in email and he responds:
LOL you like that dont ya. i never notified you something was wrong meaning everything is ok. im not gunna kiss your ass and say thankyou or your a great seller or any of that garbage. great you have a 100 percent or 95 percent who cares post the product sell the product recieve the money get the product everyones happy now shut up

Can you believe that shit? I simply write back:
Have you met my friend karma? If not, I bet you will soon. Tell him I said hi.

Here's their comment.

took too long to receive the item

I shipped out one day after I recieved their payment. They did NOT communicate, they took almost a WEEK just to get back to my messages. I sent an invoice, then a message three days after the first invoice was sent. After six days from the invoice, they respond saying they're going to send a money order. Four days later, they tell me the money order is shipped. It comes four days later in the beginning of August. I ship it out the next day via media mail. Which they payed for. It gets there in about a week or eight days..

They leave me feedback saying it took too long to get it. Yet they took ten days to ship out the money order. I shipped out the next day after getting payment. I have near 600 feedback and this person has seven. I ship within 1-3 days of getting payment. I answer all questions or inquiries within 24 hours.

Bleh... EVERY problem I've had on ebay has been from Texas. Is there some sort of curse from that state or something? Or are they just hassling me for being from California?

I understand that. I'm just saying that you clearly do not deserve a negative considering you shipped immediately after payment was received and Media Mail takes 7 days. I'd probably email that information to the buyer and ask what they hell they were thinking.

That's why lately I've been doing the whole "don't leave feedback until they leave you feedback" thing. At least that way you have a way to retaliate in case something like this happens.

I'd like to, but there's no communication. The only communication was the ebay standard thing that says I'll be sending payment by money order.

That's ridiculous. I'd be super pissed about that one.

It seems like a lot of people can't be bothered with leaving feedback. I've left feedback for all my purchases and sales - every single one. I should have over 80 feedback. I only have around 50. 30 transactions where the other party did not leave feedback - and it's mostly been buyers. Pisses me off. Their rating can go up, but mine can't?

I've looked at people's feedback, and they'll have 40, 50, 100 whatever, and have left only 1 or 2 feedbacks for others. Shameful, really.

I always leave feedback after the buyer does, on eBay. Buyers are fickle and if they leave a BS neg, then a retalitory is in order (though thankfully I've never had to do this yet - just a plan in place for the inevitable).

That was painful to read. After it degenerated into muttering after the first sentence, I couldn't read any further. Idiocy deserves a neg in that case...

File a dispute with PayPal. They should side with you quite easily since you got an item that is not as described. Selling a used console that is advertised as brand new is significantly different.

Oh you KNOW I left them a negative, as well as issued a reply to their negative on my feedback profile. That's also why I don't leave feedback with buyers until they leave for me.

This is why I only offer one method of shipping in most cases, never going less than first. If they want something cheaper, I send them numerous warnings about how Media Mail can take anywhere from 3-30 days.

Jeoff

I don't even offer media mail when I sell stuff...people are stupid and assume everything ships at the same speed. Then they get bitchy when it takes 7 days to get to them. The only way you're going to get your damn item a week after the auction ends or sooner is if you pay with paypal and pay for first class/priority shipping.

Sorry, I have family in Texas, but every time I have trouble on ebay, it's been from someone in Texas. They tend to jump the trigger way too fast. And they all think that I just sleep in the sun for some odd reason.

I always roll that way. But the one time I did...I paid for it.

I bought an iPod battery from some guy and he sent me the wrong one. I left negative feedback and I get blasted for not knowing what battery I need...

Luckily it was withdrawn, but you can still see it and it tarnishes my excellent record :(

But you know what? I have powers now that I didn't before. Hang on, I'll start one myself and sticky it.

Did you attempt plenty of communication before leaving negative? I only do that as a last resort. I've found people are willing to work with you, instead of getting a negative.

I'm honestly in the vice-versa sitution as far as feedback is concerned. I'm still waiting for two sellers to leave feedback for me and one of them has been more than a week now. Oh well, at least I got my goods. :P
