meh it would be nice to have wireless, but I hear mixed reviews about this headset. $30 and ill bite.


Edit: yeah what is the difference between the two links? Did microsoft re-release the headset fixing all the bugs and quality issues from the old one?

I have read rumors of a revision to the wireless headset as well, but I cannot remember a link at this late, inebriated hour. Possibly the new Halo 3 branded one is revised?

that's the best wireless headset you'll be able to get. it's really comfortable. i paid full price for it and it's well worth it. i've had no probs with it and it sounds great.

That pisses me off so much. The audio quality of the original ones was ass and that's wh I originally returned mine. They should offer replacements rather than just say "You want one that works? Buy the ugly Halo 3 one..."

Off-topic a bit, but you guys will know... is there no black 360 wireless headset? I looked for it on AMAZON, but saw no sign. After picking up the black controller and plug and charge kit during their respective DOTD's, a black headset would be my next choice.

IMHO, the new Halo console, controllers, and headset are all pretty hokey to lame. And I'm NOT a Halo basher... as I bought Halo 2 for my PC just to beat it again on beginneer and heroic so far. ;)

Anyway... seems like an okay DOTD. Best wishes to those that pick one up!

it is more than deal headset, but it is black. it is for the pc but i think some said it worked with the 360.

Does this one have a rechargable battery like the Halo 2 one? I heard the battery life is only ~6 hours anyways... really on the fence about this thing as well.

The wireless headsets were plagued with problems when they first came out, however, it seems as if they have handles those issues through updates. I can't imagine not having one now as it works flawlessly.
