I know, it's weird...I got one on release day, because I didn't want to deal with the insane crowds trying to get a PS3. Now since about 2 weeks after their release, it's been the other way around. I ended up giving it to my brother. Should've got a couple of them I guess.

Funny, I started to see them in about 1 out of 3 stores I went into a couple months back, including about 10 at BB in on a weekend afternoon. Now it's back to being scarce in my area. Must be the beginning of the holiday effect.

Anyway, I can't imagine being Wii-less now. Metroid Prime 3 + (GOTForever) Super Mario Galaxy + Super Smash Bros. Brawl between now and Christmas? New Wii owners are going to have one helluva backlog.

I really want to know why us there suchshortage of Wiis. It's not like Nintendo is using cutting edge, state of the art technology with it.

Only one answer.... artificial shortage. ¬_¬

Only one answer.... artificial shortage. ¬_¬Either that or it's not fiscally wise to over produce your product via new factories and assembly plant contracts only to have a shortage for a few weeks.

If by "artifical shortage" you mean "not flushing money down the drain to meet a temporary demand" than yes, artifical shortage it is.

Still, it's insane to think that these just can't stay in stock.
