CC has Lair on sale Wednesday 2pm?

This is from today's paper. Sounds like a problem to me since lair has been pushed to September 4th! Think they be giving out gift cards since it'll never arrive by 2pm on Wednesday? Best Buy has it too.

Unfortunately the ad just says "in stores Wednesday 2pm" and doesn't say anything about a gift card if it's not there by that time. Even though that's usually the policy, my store is a stickler for only giving out the gift cards if it says it word for word in the ad, so that sucks.

Yeah, I dont think these stores keep up with release dates. GTA4 is shown in the bestbuy ad for 10/17.

I didn't see the giftcard in the ad this morning, contrary to speedy. Is it possible word got out and CC adjusted ads?

I seriously doubt CC will start handing out $20 giftcards for this, they barely honour this policy when the game actually is out that day.

More likely you'll get told the game has been delayed an the release date isn't the 14th anymore.

Shipping delays by the manufacturer automatically opt them out of proving gift cards for new releases. It's only if their shipping doesn't it get to them in time for the sale, or if they don't have enough to supply demand.

So true. They didn't have that Wii Boogie game at my local CC this past week and I had to talk to a manager to get the damn gift card. I mean WTF!?

HAHA i tried to get a GC but they ended up having boogie and i said nvm and the cashier called me a scammer..

You may want to keep an eye for some obscure signs on regular paper saying there was a mistake on page # posted around the store.

That is their quick fix to problems like this.

Speedy never said the GC guarantee was in the ad. He only said it will be in stock by 2pm, just like the ad.
