So what are the chances we can see an increase in the size of our PM boxes, mine fills up fast, it seems. And I often want to keep some of the old exchanges just in case a trade goes awry. So is there any chance of us seeing a size increase, 400? 500? 1000?

Wow, if its possible, I would second this request. My box is always overflowing as well.

Us unpopular CAGs are fine with 150 msgs. [-(
that'd be cool though
On another forum I frequent you can store up to 400 messages.

I think 300 should be more than enough.

Database size, performance, and hardware is probably the reason for a limit of 150. I agree more would be nice, but I know the drill. In the production environment I am in charge of I do anything I can to keep the size down and more items offline. Even with the new quad proc. quad core 32 gig ram box I just dropped in...

You can save all of your PMs as a single file, then delete them from your inbox. However, I agree that bumping the size to 300 or more would be very nice.

God damn, you guys save a lot of PMs. I have a grand total of 10 saved at the moment.
I guess increasing the limit wouldn't hurt, just as long as it doesn't have a huge strain on the servers that would impact performance for regular forum browsing.
I think Cheapy is going to order/upgrade servers and all that jazz soon, so maybe we will see an increase when the site and forums are revised?

You can export your PMs. No need to keep them in your in/outbox.

reduce pms to 50 for cag non-veterans and split the additional space among everyone else. give like ~300 to everyone who's been here a year+ and maybe more to people who trade (20+ completed trades)

Ya I thinks that a good idea. Different limits for different user levels :)
Might be part of Cheapy's still-pending site redesign.
I really don't need that space, so maybe it's something that Cheapy can charge for in the future.
Yeah, it's CAG and all, but I'm for Cheapy finding new ways to make money off this site and extra mailbox space is one of those "luxury" features that not everyone really needs.
