View Full Version : 50% off ALL used games Movie Gallery, Game Crazy, Game Zone
Wolfgame
08-19-2007, 04:27 PM
this deal is dead, very sorry fellow cags
starting on August 31st these 3 stores, that are all owned and operated by movie gallery will be makeing all previously viewed titles 50% off, this includes any game and movie, I'll post more details as I learn them.
EDIT1:
Heres what I now know, ive been trying to clarify as much as possibile on this deal, I spoke with my store manager and he said this is a nation wide offer for "Movie Gallery" "Game Zone" and yes, "Game Crazy"
the way I understand it is this, some movie gallerys were built in with a store called Game Zone, there werent many, it was movie gallerys testing store before they went with Game Crazy.
There is an interesting point made about it being stores that closeing, I don't know anything about that, though it would make sence, but the store im at is the most profitable store in the area, out of 7 other movie gallerys so I dont think thats true for this offer.
the only exclusion may possbiliy be hardware, I dont think movie gallery wants anyone to get used 360s or PS3s for 50% off, Hopefully I will know alot more by tommorow, we have paper work explaining offers in advance print out during closeing ill update here as soon as I know anything else. we have promotional materials in the store already ill take a picture of what we have for anyone questioning the authenticity of this deal. But I have been around here for awhile and wouldn't make this post if I didn't think it could lead to some great buys.
EDIT2: Got the advertisement from work explaining the deal ill have the picture up tommorow, I wish I could fill in as many loose ends as possible, the flyer only says so much, the deal is real though, i'll be able to post evidence of that tommorow and by mid-next week I should have more than enough information to answer any questions, this will probably be my last update, minus the picture untill I have the concrete information come in, but I will post it here as soon as I possibly can. ALSO, for any confusion there are only 23 game zone locations nation wide, ive always thought it was simply unbeleviable that movie gallery doesnt mention the store by name, or even let you know if you have one avaliable through the store locato

Edit3:
BIG UPDATE TOMMOROW NIGHT 8-30-07

That combined with all of the stores here (and pretty much everywhere else from replies to this thread) saying they know nothing about this sale kind of combined into a "this isn't happening" mindset. If it happens, great! Well, except that I have a doctor's appt at 9:30 and will miss the opening and all the good games. If it doesn't, I still have a doctor's appt and won't miss anything.
I havent been ignorning your request for more information but id rather update with searious details that I will have tommorow than a flyer with very little information, the real information ive been useing is from management and information I cant take with me out of the store, Ill update tommorow night when I get off work, that will be around midnight eastern.
EDIT: Dead dead dead, unfortunantly, first thing I did when I got into work today was rip open the advertising manual for this week to get the low down on this sale, and what I found was very disapointing, the information even acknowledges that the previous ad was unclear about wether or not it was games and movies, but the fact is this sale is only going to be for movies
we had the coupon code in the system too, and I thought I would atleast grab a game and try typing it in, still no dice, theres no work around for this, so the odds of finding an employee just phased out on this are very slim, I want to say that im sorry this deal has gone south, and if I could have found out any sooner that this was going down south I would have updated this thread as soon as possible, getting information has been an absolute nightmare, as another poster said about the only thing were provided with is our shift schedule
Once again I am sorry this has happened, this sale got more attention then I ever could have envisioned, and I know there may be some people mad at me, but understand I am a gamer myself and I think this community is great, I never would have posted this if I didnt think I was on to a great deal.

No, you can't but if a company actually wants to use sales as a way to lure in extra customers allowing your employees first grabs ruins customers incentive to come back.
Anyhow I hope this isn't the end of GC, I'd prefer to have another local outlet other than GS to buy used games from.

I really doubt this has anything to do with GC stores going down. That division picks up a lot of slack in the company. More than likely, unless I can find otherwise, it includes the ones that are in MG, and HV stores as thats where the problems sit.
Yes I do work for the company. But in a HV with no GC.

Maybe this is to clear out old inventory... my GCs are both packed and there's barely any room in there for more than 5 people at a time with all the bins and displays.
And yeah, I can't see this being that great as my GCs are usually emptied out by employees during these good sales. But I always find a few good things so I'll probably get lucky this time too.

I've got $250 in credit there and it makes me sick to my stomach to see them failing (even if that isn't the reason for this sale), since there's so little that is already out that I want at all.

I've heard nothing of the sort and seriously doubt anything will be on sale. I check the memos and price drops nearly every morning and i've not even seen anything remotely close to what the OP mentioned.
If nothing else.. it will be only the stores closing. Please note that it says "previously viewed", a term only applied to DVDs and Games that were rented at Hollywood Video and Movie Gallery stores. And also if there is any "Game Crazy Game Zone" stores out there, perhaps those will have a clearance.
I don't doubt that there will be a sale at the stores closing. However, the only stores closing are Movie Gallery and Hollywood Video, and even then, there's only 70 stores that are closing. I haven't heard of any GameCrazy stores closing as a result of financial issues. I know low performing GameCrazy stores are shutting down, but that is nothing new - that has been occuring since 2005.
Until I hear otherwise, I very, very, VERY much doubt that anything will go on "clearance" at GameCrazy. This is probably just a firesale for those stores that are closing to get inventory out the door.
But if I find out otherwise, i'll post it.
Could game crazy be going out of business? I have 250 dollars in store credit there Im saving for a wii...
Have you called in the past week? The majority of GameCrazy stores got a TON of Wii's in on Monday and Tuesday of the past week. We still have 14 Wii's at my store.
//edit: I just text'd my manager and asked and he basically mirrored what I said above. He said that unprofitable stores will be shutting down and it's probably just those specific stores that are shutting down that will have 50% off.

I don't know about some of these other Ghoul-ish CAGs, but I for one hope I will not be seeing this "sale" at my local GameCrazy. I also regret every purchase I made elsewhere to save 10% or less.
I for one would seriously miss my local, reliable "little(r)-guy" game shop and hope that GameCrazy thrives at every location. I doubt any amount of hording during the 50% off sale would make up for having lost this store...
As always, thanks to Scorch for posting clear and concise facts and denoting the speculation in your posts clearly.
I agree with walletandgromice. While the 50% off would be nice, I hope it doesn't come to my only local GameCrazy because I enjoy going there more than any other store (well, I used to like Rhino even more). I dread the day when there's only GameStop to deal with.

The closest GameCrazy near me is going out of business. I stopped there by accident and I was glad I did because I have some credit there. LUckily they transferred it to the other store after trying to find a record of it. They had a 30% off going out of business clearance on everything. But of course they transferred most of the desirable inventory to other stores. A few days later the sale was at 40%. Now it may be 50%. I did notice some decent 360 games like Oblivion, Test Drive, Kameo, etc plus 360 VGA adapters.
btw, when I visited the store that has my credit now I noticed they (Hollywood Video) discount the renting of old videogames. YOu can rent 3 GC games for $12 for example. OR 2 for $10. Blockbuster has something similar although not as good.

There is no way to transfer credit to another store. The only way to take your credit to another store is to get it put on a giftcard. The stores are not connected to each other in the computer. Every store is connected to the head office, but no store is connected to any other store.

Not sure which person you're laughing at. I'm 99.9% certain that store credit does not transfer between stores without a giftcard. The only thing that's universal is the MVP thing. Even if you have credit left on your account at store A, when you set up your account at store B, it's not there.
I wish it was transferable though, I have $150+ at a store far away. Could I get it on a giftcard? Sure, but the systems view the giftcards as cash and tax them.. store credit isn't taxable :bouncy:

Well I just called my MG, and they told me that ALL MG are having a 3 day labor day sale starting august 31st.
She said they are not closing and ALL stores are having this sale. FWIW
She also said that anything you buy would have a 1 year guarantee with it.
Select gamecrazys are going out of business nation wide. 3 out of 5 are closing in the buffalo/wny area. This is fact and 1 manager found out through the mail instead of having the DM tell him and the staff. What a Piece of Crap this DM is!
Someone else already asked, but I'll repeat: Do you know specifically which WNY stores are closing? I just moved and GC is the only place not named Walmart in my town that sells games.

About 2 months late for that. All the good SNES games were cleared out when the 2 for $5 sale started in june. All I've seen at the GC stores I went to lately is nothing but old sports games for SNES, PS1, DC, N64 & Genesis.

Ok. Here's the info I just got from the manager at my local Gamecrazy (in Arlington, MA) -- It's the hollywood videos closing, not the gamecrazy locations and there are _none_ closing on either coast. It's locations in the middle of the US, predominantly in the midwest -- he said Missouri to Montana. He answered as quick as could be, as though he'd answered it before or just been talking about it.
There you go. That's whay I just heard and I believe this guy.

Yeah, but I don't think you read the fine print of my post. The key words were that my store was going out of business. Maybe you'll be able to transfer your credit if your store goes out of business. :)
I didn't really have a choice actually. That's what they did to everybody. He did call up the other store and make sure it was over there though after I inquired about my credit because I wasn't on a printout he had. He might have even transferred it right then and there over the phone. I was sorta listening to him while looking around the remaining store inventory though. Anyway I went over to the other store and sure enough my credit is there. I'm going to use it soon because it's risky leaving credit at these chains that are starting to close stores. I had over $200 of credit. This is another reason I usually Ebay sht.

There is no way to transfer credit to another store. The only way to take your credit to another store is to get it put on a giftcard. The stores are not connected to each other in the computer. Every store is connected to the head office, but no store is connected to any other store.
I've wondered about that. Why aren't the stores connected to each other, or to the GC web site? Not being able to buy or locate games via the web and having credit remain with only one store makes the chain less customer friendly. Come on GC move on to the 21st century!

There is NO way to transfer credit from store to store other than a giftcard. Unless there's a manager override, then it MIGHT be possible, but even then, the majority of stores do NOT want you to take the credit from the store you trade things in at as it hurts the store's overall revenue

1. Relax.
2. I can vouch for this, being a former gc employee. It's only done if a store closes or a customer is moving.
3. If you don't transfer your credit before a store closes, corporate mails you a giftcard with your balance on it.

60% off now at the GC near me. I know this doesn't help anyone not around here, but if you're desperate for a cheap game then I might take a look for ya when I go back tomorrow. It might be 70% off then. Alot of PS2/Xbox games. There were a few 360 one like Oblivion and Test Drive and a bunch of others. No R6 or GoW though. It's mostly crap with the occasional gem. Like I found a new copy of Rocket Slime on the DS for $10. And there's a bunch of DS carts that are decent games without manual and packaging for 60% off. I don't think they are going fast so I'm going to wait for the 70% off to grab a few of those.
I did get 2 Xbox 360 vga cables. Brand New. $16. Anyone really need one? I guess they aren't going for much on Ebay and EBay is flooded with 3rd party ones so I'll give it to you for $16 plus tax plus shipping plus a small tip.

lol. Well I didn't unload after just one of his posts.. It all stemmed from 3 or 4 posts over a day or two where he showed no understanding of the fact the reason I got my credit transferred to another store was because my store was going OUT OF BUSINESS. I know he wanted to express his deep understanding of GC's store policies to me, but I didn't ask for any such explanation nor did I inquire about such policies.
I get to a point in cases ilke that where I just call the guy an idiot and move on. I know it's not good to namecall, but sometimes it's just much less time consuming.

No, you can't but if a company actually wants to use sales as a way to lure in extra customers allowing your employees first grabs ruins customers incentive to come back.
if they are going out of business, then why would they care about new customers? good riddance to gamecrazy, in an ideal world gamestop/EB would go out of business as well. That would be awesome.
Anyhow I hope this isn't the end of GC, I'd prefer to have another local outlet other than GS to buy used games from.
well in an ideal world there would be no gamestop, no gamecrazy no nothing. If people would want to get rid of their games, they donate them to charity (woman's breast cancer/feed the orphans/etc) and then write the donation off as a tax credit.
Or they could simply pawn it at the local pawnbroker. GS/GC are worse then pawnbrokers, they are more like loan sharks, they buy a game for $3 and put it on the shelf and sell it for $30

Wow, I don't know what pawn shops you got to, but every pawn shop I've ever been to barely gives you any money at all for any type of media. I know people that are usually happy to get $1 per DVD when they take a stack in.
Also most games I see are overpriced at pawn shops and require an annoying haggling session to get them to lower the price.

Only have a Movie Gallery locally (about 10 feet from my house), But I think thier supply is rather.. weak..
I think they have about 10 games there, and their all xbox/ps2, and disc only..
I really wish a gamecrazy would come near here.
I'll check it out anyway, thanks for the heads up OP.

It appears that this deal does not mean the end of gamecrazy (or even a huge chunk of the stores). I, personally, love gamecrazy. The employees are almost always great (especially if they know you are a repeat customer) and they have great prices.
Now, if the deal is nationwide and legit is another question. I have not taken part in any GC deal in quite some time now and almost certainly will have to pass this one up (mini camping trip), but this is an amazing deal that (if legit) should be nominated at the end of the year for "deal of the year".

1. Relax.
2. I can vouch for this, being a former gc employee. It's only done if a store closes or a customer is moving.
3. If you don't transfer your credit before a store closes, corporate mails you a giftcard with your balance on it.
PM me if you want to find out how to convert store credit to cash (ymmv, but it's pretty simple).
Interesting. When I told the manager of a GC that I didn't like the employees at the other store across town, he transferred my credit to his store. He just got on his terminal and did it. IIRC, I didn't even have to get out my MVP card.

I've checked many times already to confirm that there arent any exclusions, according to my manager its any and all used games and movies
I'd love a confirmation on which stores this will be for as well as a better picture of said flyer. Especially since none of the stores in the area (Portland, OR/Vancouver, WA) have a clue what I'm talking about.

the willoughby ohio store is not closing and the mananger said that thes ones that were closing were "having a sale of about 40% off everything" but this still prob. excludes this generations stuff and....
their labor day sale will be
50% all USED last generation games which is xbox-PS2-gamecube
let me say this again though USED but this does include new PS2 games still coming out but only if they are USED

No Gamecrazy's in California are going out of business, and the three in my area know nothing about any upcoming sales.
one of my local game crazy's said if I could print out the page and bring it in they'd honor the 50% off. can you please scan the flyer you have so I can do such a thing? that vague little "50% off" picture you have currently won't cut it, I don't think. Thanks.

In the rare instances I was grabbing a game a few seconds before somebody else grabbed it, I handed it over to him or her or help them take advantage of the sale (ie. the sale is B2G2F, but the person only wants the one game).
Regarding this deal, I want to jump on it. There were about 12 MG stores in Louisville around May 2005 (last time I checked).
Back before Movie Gallery jumped the shark, I'd buy 100-150 games from their monthly B2G2F sales in a single afternoon. Gas was less than $1.50 and profit on each game ranged from $0 (The Punisher, NBA Street V3, Operation: Snowblind) to $15 (Guilty Gear X, Halo 2, Mercenaries: POD). Days were spent listing games, testing games, mailing games and the general euphoria from walking out of a store with an extra $100-200 in my pocket just a few EASY steps away from me.
Of course, I could just work 7 hours of overtime and make a little over $300 guaranteed.
<Sigh> It is so hard to hoard sometimes.

LOL. We need to set up a "League of Gentlemen Hoarders" with our yet-unwritten code. I posted something very similar before about my conduct while *ahem* raping a store.
During the BB $4.99 clearance in Feb, I was handing clearance games out of my basket to anyone who asked for them, heck I was offering them to those who were looking for the $4.99 tags or who had printed lists with them.
And during the CC $10 deal I milked a store for 2 weeks... coulda just walked outta there with hundreds of games, but only took some at a time.
And holy crap man, I'll spend a single day doing GS's B2G1 sale and net at least a thousand (60+ stores in 20 mile radius). Only one gamecrazy from me and the distance hardly makes it worth it most of the time....however I have a bunch of 20% coupons from the entertainment book and with the 50% it just might be worth it....and my MVP card doesn't expire until 9/13 (I cna dream it would all stack, right?)
Now if I could get 50-80% off the 2 Steel Battalions I know they had and have had for a loooong time...but they are still brand new, sealed.
AT the moment, all my income is generally coming from video game reselling (my corp's other income sources are slow over the summer)...but my wife is expecting child #5 and I need to get a real job again.

Honestly.. I think I would drive a distance for a Steel Battalion, if I knew of a local location (within 100 miles).
I believe that the local Gamezone was the first (or at least one of the first) that Movie Gallery began as an experimental leap into the business. However.. the place is fairly mismanaged. They offer disc resurfacing, but many clerks will screw up a disc worse than when you brought it in (I've had a couple "wipe" a disc on their shirt after resurfacing and ask for the $2 from some Gamestop b2g1 used sales due to no other copies being available in the area).
Now for you rural CAG's out there with a MG.. if it's going out of business, really scope the place. I've walked out of a couple MG closings with a slew of rare Genesis/SNES/NES games. Some of the stores were MG acquisitions of mom and pop stores, and they kept all of the old games in the back after removing them from the floor. Typically, these get marked down to 99 cents with a "bulk" barcode, and sold at b2g2. The last closing that I purchases from (Union Springs, AL) had nearly complete rarities such as the Genesis Splatterhouses, Chrono Trigger, RType 3, Mega Man 7, etc. I also left with a slew of DVD's that were obviously never rented, such as the Penn & Teller Bullshit season set. I believe markdowns begin at 30%, and will be down to 50%-75% towards the final store operation date.
The chain is very mismanaged, and couple that with the fading B&M rental market (due to digital content delivery, falling media prices, and requirement for fast adoption of industry trends that are costly to stay afloat)... it's a doomed company. If I had the stock, I'd sell the shit out of it while I still could (they're near bankruptcy I believe). Guess they shouldn't have put their name on the Troy football stadium :)
Oh yeah... one more warning about the Gamezone's. CHECK THE GAMES. Don't walk away without looking at your discs. Many of the used games are ex-rentals that were sent from other stores. They have a resurfacer on hand, and I'm willing to bet you could talk them into resurfacing it before you leave the store. As for hardware, test it before you go also. I know somebody who ended up with two or three dead-within-30 days Dreamcasts from my local store, and getting a return is a pain in the ass.
Hope that's some helpful information from somebody. If they are truly liquidating assets and closing stores to curb operation costs, then I predict some truly great classic game hauls on here soon. More than one location uses Sega Saturn hardware still to play music in the store... remember, most stores carried the hardware to test rentals on in the back. It may be worth it to ask around. If you guys are getting told "no sale on the 31st".. don't believe it. From my experience with my local store, they never know about the b_g_ sales or xx% off deals. Maybe they don't get emails.. but from what I have been told, sales are universal across the chain. I would assume that both Gamezone and Movie Gallery use the same POS system... meaning that prices would either be chain-wide universal or market/area universal. That and.. well.. I've never seen a store owned by the company where used prices were maintained to reflect further markdown, unless an area manager went in looking for a reason to crawl the staff's ass.
Does anyone think that people that've been told that they don't know anything about the sale is just playing cover up?I've thought that but I've also thought that maybe the stores here just haven't gotten their materials yet since the new flyers come out tomorrow. If I don't hear anything after that, well, I call shenanigans.

My GC is at 80% off. They have mostly crap though so ...
Hollywood Video had 80% off their candy stock. IT still was probably overpriced.
I don't trust GC and really I hate visiting the store or Gamestop for that matter and so I traded in my credit for 2 B&R DS with BrainAge 2 packages in hopes of being able to recoup most of my money in cash on Ebay or even returning them to another store to get something else.
I usually do Ebay and a couple months ago for some reason I went to GC because of the extra 50% trade-in credit. IT was a good deal, but then you're stuck buying full-priced crap at GC. You can spend cash anywhere.

All these Game Crazy stores know nothing about this sale because it's not a Game Crazy sale.
The sale is for Movie Gallery ONLY. Hollywood Video & Game Crazy are not involved.
It is true that Movie Gallery owns both Hollywood Video & Game Crazy but all three are operated separately. They even have separate corporate offices (Movie Gallery in Alabama & Hollywood Video/Game Crazy in Oregon). The picture of the ad is clearly Movie Gallery font and doesn't have any indication of the Hollywood Video or Game Crazy branding.
The company is dealing with a large amount of debt and some unprofitable stores are closing but they are not going out of business. Chapter 11 is a posibility down the road but even then the company generates enough cash to remain open.
Clearly this "sale" is a case of someone getting an early copy of the Movie Gallery sale ad, hearing about the company's debt problem, and speculating this is the start of a massive close out across all three chains.
I'm sorry to dash everyone's hopes about the sale.
aw, you joined just to share that with us. I feel special now. Does anyone else feel special? 8-)
and that's also what I've been trying to get to the bottom of since I first saw this. The company is dealing with a large amount of debt and some unprofitable stores are closing but they are not going out of business. Chapter 11 is a posibility down the road but even then the company generates enough cash to remain open.
Large isn't in scale with their actual debt problem. They are removed from the NASDAQ, are in debt almost 380 million, and on their THIRD forbearance. Not to mention multiple distributors have stopped giving them credit (for good reason obviously). This sale (btw thanks OP!) is just their attempt at skipping across the pond without sinking. Their senior investors have given them until September 30th to try and come out of this "sink" which just so happens to be days before third quarter end (in which they will surely delay like they did for the second quarter). With NO change from second quarter business, their third quarter losses are going to just add to their problems (ever seen third quarter numbers for rental company?).
IMO, this sale/closing of some store is nothing more than a attempt to make it appear like they are indeed profitable and keep skipping across the pond. To bad their netflix/BBO like service isn't slated to even begin until late 2008 and they have NO change of business plan to suddenly make their stores profitable (other than running a massive clearance and closings).
Please let me know how they "generate enough cash" to stay in business much longer? $380 million in losses isn't exactly chump change in the rental industry (considering Hollywood Video SOLD for 1.1 Billion and they were #2....).
Hey, OP just ignores all these retard people. We true CAGs appreciate your effort.
I appreciate it too, it's just that I asked, politely, at least three times for a better picture/scan of that flyer so we could see the exclusions and everything else.

Am I the only one who noticed it looks like dude took the picture rather sneakily? Maybe his managers wouldn't notice someone snapping off a quick cell phone shot of it, but I think they'd get suspicious if he started making a high-res scan of it in the store.
If it happens, awesome - there's a bunch of games I want. If not, no big deal. It's not like we're "missing out" on a deal.

Wow. this started getting a tad nasty.
Look, some CAGs have confirmed that they just found out thier local Game "Whatever" store is closing thanks to the OP's heads up.
That at least makes this a heck of a lot more reliable than any Walmart Clearance deals.
Sometimes all we get is a brief tidbit of info prior to an event. Even that is what makes checking CAG at least once a day worth it....thanks again OP!

As per this thread, it seems that this is NOT a Game Crazy sale. Fire sales at closing stores, but not a company-wide thing. Instead, it only concerns the Movie Gallery side of the business.
After a check in at the local GameCrazy, I was put off with "that's probably just a gamecrazy deal" and everyone in the store walked out to take a smoke break. As such, I can't say I feel too bad for the awful state of the company right now. Between major logistics problems and continually declining customer service, why should anyone shop there?

I'm sorry... it's been confirmed at some locations, so it's YMMV at worst. Don't slam the OP for giving valuable and confirmed-in-some-markets info. Also... if you guys expect high reliability out of Movie Gallery employees (who are rarely informed of anything other than a shift schedule), then you're being way too optimistic. No offense to Movie Gallery employees of course.
I haven't checked with the local Gamezone or many Movie Gallery stores in Montgomery, as I'm moving Friday. Other than a few newer titles, I probably won't take advantage of it (Bioshock has consumed my interest, and I'll start Prime 3 afterwards). Prices are often high, but it'll be great for whatever used releases anybody has (and I'm sure some gems are out there to be scored).

That would be funny as hell if MG sued somebody.
Of course, MG can't pay its bills.
Are there any pro bono corporate lawyers?
Edit:
Lawyer: I would need a retainer.
MG: We can give you 10 free rentals.

Then ask the lawyer if he'd like to purchase damage protection for an extra 30 something-odd cents :)

Just called my Gamecrazy in NJ (Willingboro) - no idea of the sale, so I would assume not. Somewhere in here it siad none of the east coast stores were closing anyway.
I just called my Gamecrazy in Jacksonville, NC. The guy asked me "what kind of sale" which i found to be a little odd. When i stated "Like a precentage off used games" he said "Ahhh nah nah nah" followed by a long pause. So i said "are you sure man" and he said "uhhh" and hung up the phone. The tone was suspicious and i found the entire conversation odd.
Could it be one of those un-announced sales like Hollywood video has when they discount dvd's to $.99??

I just called my Local Movie gallery store. (I didn't know I had one until 10 seconds ago.) She told me, and she double checked......
"The 50% off is for DVDs ONLY. The video games are $15 for any 2 games priced at $9.99"
Thats a HELL of a lot different then 50% off. I'll still go down there at lunch tomorrow and check it out, but it looks like this sale is a giant bust :(

When Rhino video games were transferring over to gamestop I called two different stores and asked if they were going to be changing over to gamestop. One store acted surprised that I asked them that and then told me that it was confidential info. The other asked a few questions trying to dig for any info he could get and then hung up out of the blue. Something sounds weird here with this one as well.

I saw the same deal in a flyer at all Hollywood Videos but the games have to be 9.99 in price. It's also what they have listed here - http://www.moviegallery.com/specials/
Anyone have concrete info on this sale....i need to know before i take off work tomorrow.
