Well it has been in the works for awhile, but there is now some information out about a transformers movie. Its going to be live action and made by dreamworks with Speilberg as the Executive Producer. This is prob going to take a long time to make so dont get too excited yet. Here is the whole story at aintitcoolnews.com

So by live action taking into account the recent transformers series I assume even if based on G1 there will be tons of little kids going around bashing decepticons on the head with rocks while cheesy music plays in the background. I can't wait =D

Yea, I'm somehow absolutely sure it won't live up to the original. Ahh, Spielburg ruining another classic memory.

Well as long as they don't change their minds and keep it a G1 based film, it could be good.

Wow... Spielberg either lost a bet, or he's really running out of ideas. This is just a little too hard to believe

If only Chris Latta were alive to voice Starscream again, that's all it would need to be great.

I liked AI. At least I liked it when it ended the first time. Endings 2 and 3 were disappointing.

I'm sorry, the first transfomer's movie is so ingrained into my head that nothing that hollywood CAN do will make me like it even close to the original. And Spielburg is a bastard. Hasn't produced/directed a good movie in years (IMO at least)

And i agree. Its just bad when the best parts of a speilberg movie is Teddy Ruxben and Deuce Bigalow.

Teddy Ruxben was the shit, I remember having him and I dropped him once and his eye fell out and I freaked out cause I had a one eyed bear with a brown button like eye rolling around on the floor
But I also agree with your comment

There is only one original... The Transformers: The Movie....
And it had an awesome soundtrack
There may be some newer ones that I am unaware of, but I don't think so.

Yes, "Shit" is the special word used in the movie, chapter 11 titled "Swear Word" to be exact :)

I thought that was the movie...
I can't believe the Spielberg flaming going on here. He could direct a documentary on the Ricola guy and I'd watch it. This flick will make Citizen Kane look like Gigli.

Five Faces of Darkness were the last 5 G1 episodes to air in the U.S. I've seen compilations of all 5 episodes on VHS to form a movie. The animation quality isn't as good as the movie but still better than Season 1 2 and 3.
The story is when the Transformers first obtain the ability to use Headmasters and Targetmasters. Also Optimus Prime is back as the leader of the Autobots.

Umm what? Five Faces of Darkness were the 5 episodes that took place directly after the movie and introduced the Quint....... i'm not even going to try to spell that , but it introduced the 5 headed floating heads from the movie as the creator of the cybertronians to begin with. The last five eps of G1 were the Return of Optimus Prime and then the three Headmasters episodes.
I just wish they'd release a widescreen DVD of the first movie. :?

Its been in the works for ages now, but I think it will only have 2.0 sound versus the 5.1 of the Rhino release.

I'm very happy with Rhino.
I've already bought the entire G1 series.
I just hope they continue on with the same treatment for G.I Joe.
