Technically this isn't a deal but this seems like the most appropriate place. FNL is an incredible show that deserves as much support as it can get. If you're not into football that's OK. It's main focus isn't on the football games but about the relationships and interactions between the characters. IMO, one of the top 5 shows on television right now. Obviously, I'm not a good review writer but this show is absolutely worth your time and money. If you feel so inclined you should definitely check it out.

Amazon, BB, CC, and Target all have FNL for $20 so there's really no reason not to give this show a try. The second season starts Friday, October 5th.

Friday Night Lights starts it's new season at 9:00! That's just 5 minutes! What are you waiting for!? Go turn your TV on!

Season 1 has gone on sale for the week of 10/7-10/13 at Best Buy for only $14.99. This is the cheapest price yet for this set. Only one episode has aired for the new season and you can watch it on NBC.com. Don't miss out on the cheapest opportunity you're going to find to get in on this great show.

At FYE.com it's $18 + tax shipped with the 10% off coupon, and there's a $7 rebate.

soccerstud652

Whats the 10% off coupon?

And as far as the rebate goes, what do you put in the "store name" section of the form? fye.com?

This show is outstanding. Does anyone know if the FYE.com site rebate means that it'll have a rebate in stores too? I don't really want to wait for shipping if I don't have to.

10% code is WELCOMECCTEN, FYE.com or FYE should suffice for store, and they generally have the rebate in store AFAIK.

It seems to be $20 in several places which might make me bite. I hate Football, and most sports in general, but I do like Sports Night and need a new TV show to watch.

And your money back!

Boy I hate this show. How do you guys watch this f'ed up teenage soap opera. I just graduated and find it to be so incedibly stupid. I refused to watch after they brought another qb because of katrina. Just stupid. But everybody has something they aren't proud of they watch mine being watching the Browns.

Alright, I think the reviews have sold me on this show. For $20 I'll pick it up and check it out. I'm a football fan anyway and did enjoy the movie.

I went to try and get the DVDs at an FYE store today and the guy told me that FYE.com rebates are separate from in-store rebates. So it looks like I'll have to buy it from the site and wait for it to come in.

Wrong, smart guy, it's $22-25. Regardless, the update is for the season premiere.

Wrong smart guy, it's $20 on Amazon, Walmart, CC, even Overstock, I saw it at Target for $20. It's $25 at BB, and $22 at DD but that's because they have free shipping. You are a very bad cheapass.

Regardless this is a DVD Deals forum, not a TV forum.

This truly is one of the best shows on tv, if you get the DVD set, don't give up after disc one, as it gets rediculously better. I watched it for three episodes when it first premiered and then gave up as it became too cliche, but it breaks out of the mold about 4 episodes into the season. It's an amazing show. A real pity that this like battlestar will end after this season. Battlestar is guaranteed and barring a miracle, this show will end as well.

The season premiere pulled in 200,000 more viewers than the season finale had. I know that doesn't seem like a big increase but since it's on Fridays now the expectations are lowered. Any show that airs on Friday doesn't have to push quite as big of numbers as shows on the other nights of the week since so many people are out. If FNL can average a 7.0 rating for the season there is a pretty good chance it could be renewed for a third season. Las Vegas does it and that show is pure fluff. FNL is fairly cheap to produce so that works in it's favor as well.

The dialogue delivery between Matt and Landry is absolutely hilarious. My only problem with the premiere was the fairly ridiculous plot twist that happened between Landry and Tyra. It can be salvaged and it should, especially considering how well these two characters mesh. Tami's reaction to Eric's decision about work was more than enough proof that Connie Britton should have won an Emmy.

There are only a few shows that I've ever cared about enough to discuss. This show especially deserves some love. Tell your friends. Buy them season 1 as a gift. If they don't like it than they're probably not worth having as friends.:)

Yeah, I swear, if Landry gets jailed or something then I'll be pretty dissapointed, as I love his character.

Same here. I don't know, it just didn't really seem to fit the show at all. Otherwise, this premiere was excellent (well, I could have done with a little less of the Matt/Julie drama as well, but it was nowhere near as ridiculous as the Tyra/Landry thing).

And this is definitely the time to pick up the DVD if you don't have it. $15 is basically nothing, especially since it equals to less than a dollar per episode. Plus, the money back guaranatee is probably still in effect, so if for some strange reason you don't like it (I don't see how you could), you can get your measly little $15 back.

Just got season one of FNL for 10 bucks at Walmart. Walmart has FNL broken up into two sets, The First Half and The Second Half. Both are 5 bucks apiece. It has all of the special features on the entire box set. So FYI if you want to save 5 bucks off the Best Buy sale price, and 10 bucks off any other place.

Good tip!

Found these at my local Walmart for $5.00 (even) a piece. Appears to be the same thing as the regular set, aspect ratio and all (always have to check with full frame loving Walmart).

I'm looking forward to watching this show.
