I thought this game could have been a hit if it launched at this price, or maybe even $40.

Everyone should at least try this, you either love it or you hate it.
And if you are any kind of fan of online FPS games you should look into this.

I'm in. I tried the demo, and it seemed pretty fast and fun. 30 is a nice price point for something that's online-only like Shadowrun.

if this was a couple months ago I would jump on it, but with Bioshock now, skate and Halo 3 within the next month, and all the rest of the titles coming out this fall/winter, I can't justify it.

The one thing that really killed the game for me was the full pricetag. It didn't bother me that it was pretty much just multiplayer, it was another whole set of problems. Mainly the small amount of levels and weapons and the complete lack of customization and stat tracking.
With that said, this game is definitely worth 30 bucks. With all the problems I have with it, it still provides a good amount of entertainment and a complete different experience from most online FPS on the market today.
This is definitely a good deal although I don't know how many people will be jumping on it because of onslaught of gaming goodness coming in the following few months.

I got it at launch, it's pretty fun, but good look finding plenty of matches, it takes forever to get one going.

Like the others said, I can't justify this at the moment. I would normally snap this up in a second, but I just bought Bioshock for $50. I really wish this had come earlier, as there was nothing to buy the past couple of months. Another thing that sucks is, by the time this game goes for cheap, the online community will be nothing but the hardcore. Oh well. Thanks Cheapy.

I'd resolved to buy this for even $40 (I really liked the beta) but with Bioshock in the tray and COD's Beta (Lucky me, I'm in) I just can't do it.

This site cost me so much money. All these good deals are killing my wallet seeing as I wouldn't usually buy 3/4 the games I do at retail price. I am in for one, thanks for the post CheapyD

Definitely one of my favorite online shooters. I play this regularly and never have problems getting into matches (takes about 5 seconds).

I rented this and loved it. $30 is a damn tempting price.... I'll wait until I get home because I'm picking up the Bioshock LE and a PS3. Not sure if I'll have an extra $30.

Heh, if all of my money wasn't going to be spent at SummerSlam, and if I only didn't have $33.00 on my card for the next week, then I'd jump on this, although if it drops to $20, I'll find a way to afford it, lol.

I'm really tempted, but we're getting into that time of the year when loads of games are gonna start arriving, just don't think I can fit this in.
Plus it worries me slightly when someone posts that it's difficult to find a game, when online play is pretty much the point of this.

I've been playing this since launch and I'm still not bored. Once you get tired of one race, you can switch to a different one and it feels like a whole new game. And they've fixed the matchmaking options, it no longer takes minutes. It usually only takes a few seconds. If you like playing online shooters, this is a no brainer at $30

As everyone else, I'm also holding off given the other quality titles I've recently bought and not played -- and just like everyone else I said yesterday I'd buy this game for $30.
The good news for those of us waiting for our games "in box" to go down is that GameCrazy just dropped the game to $40/$35, so if you can find a used one in a few weeks when you actually have time to play it, you're looking at 32.50 (assuming MVP membership)...

Good DoTD. Oh well. I thought that I would bite at $30 but this is just bad timing in the gaming world with Bio-Shock in everyone's trays. I'll now wait til $20.

nice price, very tempting but I would rather save money for a game worth the $40. If only this were bioshock then I would bite.

I played SR a pretty good amount around launch (I used my monthly BB coupon to rent it). I liked it a lot, especially when I got a good team together. But there just isn't enough content in the game to justify buying it.
They have been doing a pretty good job with patching the game, but this game is in dire need of some new maps. It also needs more weapons and customizable avatars, but at the minimum it needs more maps to play in. I have the feeling that if they ever add new content to the game, it'll be too late.

Arghh! I'm going Cag'ing today, of all days, so i'm going to be broke.
P.S.: There is a community of players on Shadowrun, and it's still upthere in terms of players. Around 9 Eastern, Mygamercard shows 1500+ players.

I'd buy it if I knew MS would send my 360 back in the next week, or if I didn't just get a bunch of newer games I wanted more.
I paid to keep mine from Gamefly a couple weeks ago for $35. I'm thinking I might buy another copy so my brother can play with me.
Best online shooter I've played in a long, long time.

I've been playing the demo and it's quite addictive. There are a lot of different options available to accomodate any playstyle, which is definitely the thing that keeps me going back. If I'm in the mood to camp my ass off with a sniper rifle, then I can do that, or I can teleport around trying to hack people up with a katana at melee range. If it weren't for the extreme lack of content and extras, this game would have done really well. The core gameplay is definitely there in my opinion. Unfortunately, the lack of an offline story mode, mixed with the lack of online features make this game a bit of a disappointment. Not disappointing because the game is bad, but disappinting because it could have been really good had they built more around the fun gameplay. At $30, though, I'm picking it up.

While I do think the game is severely underrated, I regret a little getting it at 60 bucks, but at 30 is a bargin. While the amount of content is not that great I think this game is an awesome and interesting variation of Counter Strike.
this game is awesome, great dotd

Just noticed that Gamestop has lowered the price to $39.99 new, $34.99 used so buying used with Edge card and the 10% off coupon puts it well below $30.00. Just another option.

Just noticed that Gamestop has lowered the price to $39.99 new, $34.99 used so buying used with Edge card and the 10% off coupon puts it well below $30.00. Just another option.Scorch posted it as dropping at GC to $39.99 new / $34.99 used, so I think $39.99 is the new MSRP on it.
Though, by your math, it would be $27.99 after EDGE & coupon, and with sales tax, it would be back to $30 or so, assuming 8% sales tax.
In that case, I'd just buy it from Amazon and save on gas money and know it'll be new.

Ahh....man, I might have to bite for $30.
Damn I said I would pick this up for $30, but I just picked up Bioshock yesterday, and figure this will die once Halo 3 comes out.
I guess I will wait until later tonight before I order it, give it some time to go OOS ;), and if it is still in-stock I will pick it up.

Yes it does.
Woah woah woah woah woah woah woah woah.
Lois, this is not my Batman glass.
But really, I had heard that there was no offline splitscreen. For real, there is?
If there was, I'd be more tempted to buy it. But I spent over a hundred bucks in games today. Does "Deal of the Day" mean it only lasts for today, or it's permenant and CAG is just pointing it out today?

Eh, I suppose I'll have to pass. I'm spending far too much this coming week as it is, and school's about to start so I'll have less time for console games anyway.
Also, Bioshock has seized control of my 360 and seems very reluctant to give it back.
