If I didn't already have that PS1 disc that has both FF I & II on it, I would have gotten one. Tempting, tho.

Sweet, I'm in! I always said the games cost $10 too much. With Prime it can't be beat, now if they could get FFI in this way also I'd be set...

If they didn't put Pokémon Diamond as a DotD, they won't do it for FF1. Either way, $20 for the blacksheep of the FF series is still too much considering you can get both Final Fantasy I & II Dawn of Souls and Final Fantasy Origins for FAR cheaper.

I agree with Tsukento on this one...but if you just need to get this as a completionist, then it is a very fair price. I've been enjoying the DoTD, as the quality of them has been getting better.

I'm in the middle of playing this (from gamefly), and it really is a much more balanced game than the other revisions were. It is graphically superior, a better story translation, and the "leveling" system is much more fair. I don't think $30 was a good price, but $20 is a sweet spot.

Tempting Tempting, I will give this on some thought before I jump. However I do have my 5.00 off from the Harry Potter pre-order. Does anyone think that we will see price drops on the FF psp games like we saw on the GBA ones (clearance I mean) I have picked up all the GBA titles for under 14.99 ?

Eventually down the line, yeah. Pretty much every FF game as of recently has gone on clearance. In fact, I picked up FFV and FFVI for $14.88 and $16.88 at a local electronics store that was trying to get rid of their extra stock.

Would be a good deal if I already didn't have it for the GBA and PS1. If it was 10-15$... :)

Hm... I want it... and it will probably sell out soon... but I need a good filler for under $10 (if possible).

Meh. This is why I should always have some kind of Amazon backup filler picked out and ready to go.

I already owned GBA version under $10 for 2 games.... why pay extra $20 each for each game!! I may buy it whenever it drop down $10 or less ... Just for my PSP collection :) I look forward FF7 on PSP but that day never come :(

I don't care what the reviewers said, these are really nice, tweaked versions of FF 1-2. It's like some kind of 2D Final Fantasy HD Remix. Well worth the money if you never played the games before. Maybe not so much if you have though. :-#

I find both of these games are far more enjoyable than FFIII on the DS anyways if nothing else.

Awesome game, even for $30. (also picked up FF1) Here's to releasing III, IV, V, VI as remastered PSP editions!!

I doubt a PSP version of IV would be coming any time soon, considering the DS is getting an exclusive remake.

That's good to know. Now I wish I hadn't already played it on the Playstation 1.

I'm REALLY impressed with the graphics in Final Fantasy 1 anniversary. :(

Yeah, I'm in the same boat. I already bought Final Fantasy 1, but I didn't like 2 well enough to do it I don't think (so I own THREE copies of Final Fantasy 1 right now!-but talk about a great game if you have time to kill and no other new Playstation Portable games!)

It's a good deal if you want it, but I agree too much stuff to play right now and I know I will find both I and II for around 10.00 in teh next 6 months.

Yarly, if I had 20 bucks to burn, I rather put it towards a good PSP RPG like Brave Story or Jeanne D'Arc. I'll still buy this later because Squeenix managed to brainwash me.

bad thing is its not a good deal. you can pick up the 1&2 for the ds for what 10 bucks.

Save the 40 bucks you save and put it towards a Ds

Hell if you wanted to look at it the GBa way

FF 1 and 2 for the PSP games only 50 bucks
OR

Gameboy advance system + FF 1&2 probally for 30 or 40....

so you could get a system + the games cheaper then what sony wants for the games for the psp

They're not the same games. These have been upgraded considerably from the GBA releases. I skipped those, as I already had Origins for the Playstation, but I like Final Fantasy 1 enough to buy the Anniversary version.

Final Fantasy is by Square/Enix, not Sony.

r u sure about that. doesnt sony have a price trier

sony brand is one price 3rd party is another that is why almost all psp games are 40, i mean if the companies set their own price then why not bring out all your games at 20 bucks

Of course companies set their own prices. They don't sell everything for $20 because they think they can get more.

I'd prefer stuff just launch at a reasonable price like $20 and then stay there, to launching at a crazy price and us having to wait for it to hit cheaper :(
