I thought this was important enough to warrant not resurrecting it in the old post.
I've been to 2 stores and confirmed the prices at both. From what I've seen, all old 16.96 games have dropped to 8.96.

There were many others, but most were games that still weren't worth it at half that price.

Those are just the ones I saw that were good. I'll add the other few I remember. As I said, I get the impression that all old 16.96 games dropped. I'd suggest checking yours stores to be sure. The 2 stores I went to both had no 16.96 games. All were newly marked with 8.96 stickers.

I'm pretty sure CC clearance drops are universal so if the price drops at one store, it drops at all of them. Also, they don't usually drop a whole set of games at a certain price at a time, only selected ones, ie; DS Castlevania POR may stay at 16.96 while Superman 360 has apparently dropped to 8.96.

I am surprised that those games skipped the 12.96 level.

I checked the forums at my tech bench right before the store closed and saw this deal, so I ran over to the game department to grab Starsign and Superman.

We were out of Starsign, but Superman was still ringing up for $16.96. I also tried Quake 4, but it was $16.96 too. Scurge for DS did ring up for $8.96, but those were the only ones I tried.


As somebody else in the thread mentioned, CC's price drops are usually universal, so it's strange that the prices weren't changed in my store's computers. We do have the older system, so it's possible that they just haven't been updated yet, but it kind of seems unlikely.

I go in at 12 tomorrow, so if anyone needs me to check anything list what you want. If we've got it in stock I'll do my best to check it out for you.

Unless your CC is different than every other (or they're dumb) there is no 10% difference. That's for price matching say Best Buy or some other store. When price matching themselves, it's just the straight price match no extra 10% difference

If I had to guess, I'd say no. I can check tomorrow, I have a friend who works at one of the CCs. But from what I know, the gamercard is for an entire year once you get the card. I can't believe they'd give you 13 months basically if they let you price match. Because technically it's not a drop in price, it's a discount you get with being a member.

And yes, the 10% is ONLY suppose to be for price matching other stores, though that's not to stop someone from trying to talk CC into it, though I wouldn't, since I know that's not how it works. I am a CAG, but I won't try and cheat CC out of something that I know I shoudln't be getting in the first place.

I did notice that Magical Starsign and Charlotte's Web for the DS had dropped in price, but they were both tagged at $12.96, not $8.96. I didn't get them scanned though, because I already have MS, and I have no interest in CW.

This is from a relative in Georgia. Virtua Fighter 5 for PS3 was $19.99 @ Buckhead location (they are now OOS), but the price wasn't the same at another CC. I don't remember the other one he checked at. I don't know if he tried to do a price match. End of story. YMMV :-P

first of all, i don't agree with this being brought into a separate thread. it should have been posted in the old thread with updated prices (at best). at least until it was confirmed. And when it is created as a separate thread it should at the very least include all of the original pricing and information from the prior thread.

second, i just got back from the brooklyn, OH CC and none of these prices are in effect. Everything is still $16.96.
