battery acid?

Ok I know this sounds really stupid but I have a question.. I was holding my cell phone backwards by my mouth and my lip was wet and it went over the piece of metal on the back that the battery charges on, those 3 gold bars on the back of a phone, andways it stung my lip and now i feel like I wanna throw up oh have diarrea or something. Laugh your ass off if you have to but I'm just wondering is it a big deal that that happened or will nothing likely happen to me from it? It's not like i drank battery acid or anything but it did sting my lip so I'm just wondering.

I don't think anything bad can happen to you. Licking batteries is an acceptable form of checking their charge, actually. I've never done it myself, but I know plenty of people who do.

I use a belt clip , but to each is own. Seriously though, you should be fine.

um maybe it was the fact that you shocked yourself with a 12 volt battery or 3 volts I forget what a cell battery is.

Well, not cell phone batteries, but regular old Alkaline batteries. And you're not taking in any acid, just closing the circuit.

You only got shocked, nothing to worry about. I shock myself all the time replacing flourecent light bulbs. If it was battery acid, you would know!

look like I'm alright, I think I have a cold right now and it may have started last night around the time i licked the battery so I think when I thought the battery was making me sick it was just cold symptoms.
