Picking up Zuma, already have Small arms and don't really care for the retro games myself.
I agree they should do this more often, there are a number of other older Arcade games I would pick up at 50% They should also do some advertising, this is the only place I have heard about this.
Edit: Okay saw it on gamescore also... It would be nice to se an email from xboxlive.com or something along those lines.

Dammit, I keep getting Golden Axe and Gauntlet mixed up.
I will probably just buy them all, since they are half price. Otherwise, I wouldn't touch them for their normal price.
That's cool...nothing I'm interested in, but it's cool. They might be doing this to test the waters to see how worthwhile it would be. I'm sure a lot more people would jump in at these prices. This is great for the people who got some half price LIVE arcade cards at CC...Unfortunately I wasn't in that bunch.

Hard to pass up on a bargain >.< but I bet like 2 weeks from now they gonna bundle them free with some controller or give them away on some contest website or something to that end.

shit, from the title I thought this was going to be all of xbox live arcade for a second. but that would definitely be too good to be true. Considering I got my points for half off through the circuit city deal it's like getting them for 75% off. I can't complain much about that, even if the games are a little meh. Good eye op.

Pac Man CE is really good, but you're smart in not wanting to pay $10 for it.
This will no doubt be a success, so hopefully they do it with other games in the future. Prince of Persia for $5 would be great!
Zuma is a steal at $5 BTW.

Think I may have to get me a piece. I've got zuma on PC, but it might be worth it just for cheap achievements.
Achievements aren't that cheap on that game. It can be mind-racking, and some of them are broken. For instance, you have to do the coins one in one sitting; it does not carry over after you turn your 360 off. At least, that's how I remember it; VERY ANNOYING.
Gnomes and Pie

Zuma has some of the most difficult achievements i've ever encountered. i have 7 out of the 12 and the other 5 are probably never going to happen for me but none of them are broken. i have the coin achievement and you don't have to do it in one sitting. the achievement is collect 100 coins total throughout any of the games you play. same with the 100 gap achievement. it even tells you when you beat a level what your total gap and coin score is. i have something like 750 total gaps but just recently got to 100 coins. i think i have like 120 now and this is over like three months.

You guys realize that this is all the shit that has been out for months/years, and that is why none of the semi-popular games are discounted right? And by shit I don't mean the games are necessarily bad, but they probably have incredibly low sales, even compared to other games that have been out for just as long.
Anyways, I do like the idea of this, so hopefully they will start discounting Arcade games more often, like for Christmas and Black Friday. I would like to see Roboblitz, as that's been out for a while, and the 1200 MS point pricetag is ridiculous. Maybe also Feeding Frenzy, seeing as the sequel will come sometime this year.
As for the games at hand, not bad. Anyone who is interested in Small Arms consider this, the game is fun for a little while, especially if you have local multiplayer, as it is more "ha ha I beat you" fun to someone in the same room, as to a stranger on the internet. I may pick up Dig Dug or Gauntlet, more likely Dig Dug, but not Zuma, as it just isn't really my kind of game. Oh, and Small Arms is definently worth $5 if you are the least bit interested in it, if not for fun, for the relatively easy achievements.
Thanks OP!

If you like old school games. Dig Dug is not everyone's cup of tea.

Everyone should pick up Zuma IMO, I have played that game a ton, it's a great puzzle game.
It's encouraging to see them start discounting the XBLA games. I hope this promotion goes well and they continue the trend in the future, even if it just older games.

Finally bought a 360 just this week, and I haven't even gotten it online yet, but I'll make sure to do it in time to get some cheap games. I'll download them all; my son loves the Small Arms demo that came loaded on my 360, so I was going to download the full version of that for him anyway.
1/2 price games + 1/2 price CC 1600 point cards = :)

Got Small Arms, Zuma and Dig Dug. Can't bring myself to buy Gauntlet -- I was so disappointed in how it felt when I got the first Midway Arcade disc for the Xbox. Good deals all around. Hope they bring more sales to the Marketplace.
I was debating, but after reading everyones comments I am going to get ZUMMMMMMMAAAA! Not interested in Small Arms, or Gauntlet, and I think I got my fill of Dig Dug on the Apple IIe. They really should do this more often, they're missing out on a lot of sales. The amount of sales they get easily more than doubles the regular amount.

September 3rd I believe.
I bought Zuma as one of my first arcade purchases, highly worth it and a great time. Not really big on Small Arms, and I already have Gauntlet and Dig-Dug, both are worth it but are mixed bags for people. Download the demos of both before you think of getting them.
Gaunlet is 50-50 on if you'll like it, the game is very clunky by today's standards but it's really fun to play online with 4 player co-op. Dig-Dug is just a classic title in general that most gamers should have if they like it.
I really do think that this will be a trend for older titles that may not sell very well, or even just promotions to get the game spread out to an audience. Little need to say, awesome move by Microsoft for this and I really hope for more discounts on XBLA titles.

Guantlet II is better. It's basically the same as the first except that you can have more than one of the same type of character (i.e. all players can be elves if they want). In Gauntlet I there could be only one of each.
However, the XBLA version offers online play. Does the PS3 version of G2?

I bought Small Arms, debating whether or not to get the others.
I replayed the Demo of Zuma I think, I am going to get that, and Fatal Fury next week cause I have 800 points.

I bought Dig Dug, can't really regret it since it was only 200 points, and I get all my points for free  I already have 10 of the achievements, so once I get the other 2, I probably won't play it for a while or even again...

I doubt it. I think once it's done it's done. If this one goes well, though, I can see them doing it again.

I got Dig Dug. Considered Gaunlet, I remember pumping in many quarters at the local arcade when I was younger, but playing the demo, it just doesnt feel the same.

If you both don't mind using your gamertag to play the game you could split the cost with a CAGer or RL friend. Refer to the post on getting XBLM stuff for 50% off in the Xbox360 forum. Sorry too lazy to link lol
