I am so frustrated right now...

My Laptop (Toshiba Sattleite) has been FALLING APART on me recently.. the dvd drive fell out and idk where that is  and since like 3 weeks ago the screen has been flickering, and it only works when you pull the left side lightly. Well I went to fire it up thinking its now working, but to no ones suprise it was not. I pulled the one side, and pushed the other VERY LIGHTLY and the fucking thing breaks down the middle. Right now its hooked up to my desktop moniter and i'm glad i even figured out how to do that with the screen being broken.

I got it as a gift for christmas of last year at radioshack. There was no warantee purchased :bomb:

Please help.. i have no clue what to do now.. Is there anything I can do, aside from eBaying the thing?

Isn't the warranty at least a year? If so, then you're still covered. Call Toshiba.

They should make computer abuse a crime.

You shouldnt eBay the laptop, as you will not get much money from the sound of the condition (maybe ~$100 - $150)

If you're fine with the way you're using now, then just keep on using it this way. Maybe get another monitor for it if you only have one right now. A cheap external DVD writer can be had for $40 or so.

Ebay it for parts and use the proceeds toward one of these (http://www.panasonic.com/business/toughbook/products.asp).

Try calling toshiba to ship you a new screen. I've heard about dell doing that so it's worth a try.

toshiba has a great warrenty program if it is still inside the time. You will need the origional receipt to prove it... i had a motherboard fry on alap top a few years ago at about the 6 month mark... i didn't even ahve to send it away you go to a toshiba authroized service center (toshiba will direct you) and they do it there and toshiba fits the bill... as an asside the bill was 300$ more than i payed for the computer lol.
