If you're buying games with just store credit then you don't get taxed, so the 10% off is definitely noticeable. I paid $54 for BioShock with the coupon and store credit.

I used a couple last month with no problem at the same store - it's not tied to any personal information, so unless you're using it over and over again with a manager or something, I think you'd be fine.

To the guy who was pissed about it ending before Halo 3 being released - You might try using it for the pre-order, and just paying the full price of the game.

On a side note, I used a cropped version of that email with just the coupon picture itself to get 10% a 360 refurb system. :) YMMV I think he tried putting in the code and it didn't work, so he just overrode the system for the 10% off.

I used this coupon on about 6 xbox games. They were all cheap to begin with 4.99 but another 1.50 or so off is nice. This will stack with the edge card used the last one a whole bunch. I guess i will be picking up some more games with this coupon. Thanks NintendoGal for the coupon.

It shouldn't. Essentially, they don't technically ring up the purchase until you actually purchase it. Paying 90% of the total now won't mean anything when the item comes in unless you have a coupon at the time of release. As far as I know, there isn't a "paid in full" checkbox on preorders.

I'm sure a dedicated employee could figure out a way (especially if you trade something in), but the system won't be able to do it by default.

Just a word of advice, print out the entire email not the cropped version. The full email has instructions for the employee and believe me they are lost. They are accustomed to bar code coupons.

Yeah, but it still counts as a preorder even if you pay for it in full, you're not acutally buying it right then and there, you're putting money down so they'll "hold one" for you. You can only use the coupon when you pick up the game, not for preorders, release date is on the 25th and the coupon ends on the 21st, so blah blah........

The deal is pretty cool. I use it a lot. I am just happy that the manager at my GS forgot to use it when I purchased Eternal Sonata (which if you haven't picked it up yet....please do, it is a great game) said that my 2 reserves of Halo 3 will get it. So even though it expires he'll just knock the %10 off of the two halos.


So score 1 for a cool as hell GS manager. Too bad more don't do what he does. (Not just the discount thing but he's a good guy overall to his regulars that are nice to him and his crew.)

Somebody already started another thread, but just FYI, they do have a new coupon, expiring in October. It turns out that all they are doing is updating the images on their webserver. So, if you just hang on to the email, it will automagically have a new expiration date in it since its displaying the images from the website. Woohoo!
