How f'd in the ass am I? :(

Signed up for a 6 month subscription back in 3-07. Stopped playing 5-07. Didn't get any sort of email notice that my sub was about to be renewed..... come 9-07.. get a f'n $80 charge on my CC :(

Already talked to two CSRs, both are like "HA HA" /Nelson

Guess my only 2 options are 1) CC Dispute (yeah yeah yeah.. I 'agreed' to all that legal mumbo jumbo bs 6 months ago) or 2) Sell my acct somehow...

F Blizzard... I've been pretty loyal to their products for quite some time.... all their CSR had to do was see I hadn't played the dam game in 4 months and been like.... Oh okay.. here's your refund.. hope you decide to play again someday.

Typing this up.... makes me want to call a 3rd CSR and get his SUP. GRRRRRR

So pretty much you want them to refund the ~6 months that you didn't "play" the game?

Stop playing or deleing your char does not equal canceling your subscription.

You're not exactly on the righteous side of the dispute here, but good luck to ya!

Why is this blizzards fault? You are the one who failed here. They are living up to what they told you they would do (and what you agreed on).

it sounds like he didnt play for all his six months but without realizing it he was billed for an ADDITIONAL six months where he would of liked to cancel but he was given no warning. However this is how these things work you need to keep on top of the billing cycle.

Umm, isn't the recurring fees only for 1month and not the other plans?

Since you use CC, they will automatic renewal your account when it expire. This apply to all MMORPG. It's YOUR fault for NOT cancelling the game. If you cancel your account, they will NOT bill you after your 6 months is up.

Lesson learned. Price paid. Remember to cancel next time.

He chosen 6 months recurring plan, so he got billed for another 6 months when his subscription was up. If it's 1 month recurring plan, they will bill you monthly.

This isn't true, not every MMO is like this thats why I asked. But yeah if it does say *recurring* on there, it is his fault.

It is his fault, but people do make mistakes. Maybe call up Blizzard and try to talk to them about it. Or call up your credit card company and dispute the charages, since you won't be playing and you shouldn't pay for it.

this is prolly your best option - reverse the charges

This dude hasn't even talked to a supervisor yet. That's your second move ...

Be persistent.

Just call them and tell them that you have not been on the account in months. Tell them that you forgot that they would charge your cc every time the account ends. See if they can look at the account to make sure you have not been on it. Once they do that they will see how long you have not played. If they don't want to or can't then ask for a supervisor. If the CSR's are like the Game Masters they will not care. Even saying that you will never play again will do nothing. Especialy seeing how you are quiting the game anyway. Only thing that I know of that works is telling them you will get legal action. A friend of mine was banned for power leveling. They said he had used a program to level his toon. So then he started asking if they could prove it and was asking them if he had sent any packets. They could not prove any thing. He told them to reinstate his account and give him them days free or else he would seek legal action. Then told them about the case with Ever Quest(think it was that game) where the same thing had happend and the guy won millions. Withing 24 hours he had his account back, I think a month free, and his bank full of epics that he was 20 levels to low to use. This all happend back when the level cap was 60.

(a) "Withing" is not a real word.

(b) I call bullshit.

If you quit playing, you shoulda just cancelled the account back then.
