What's the best case for protecting your DS that still lets you play it while in the case? I found this on Amazon and it looks pretty good. Unfortunately it's from an Amazon seller. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000IEO068/ref=pd_luc_01704B000H5U4Y0B000IEO068/102-5425051-8058517
I have three cases (one each for my 3 DS Lites) exactly like that made my MadCatz and I *love* them. I acutally have 3 more new in the package still because I have plans on getting one more DS and two more just in case if one breaks.
What I like about that is that it adds no extra to the DS, you can not tell its on when holding/playing the DS. It protects the DS from scratches and fits very well on the DS. Granted, you will see a good amount of scratches over time on the case - but better the case than the DS.
This is the one I have:

I just tossed the paper "skins" inserts. I have also seen NFL package for more - about $20.
I have also seen one made by Pelican packaged on its own for only $10 at CC. But I do not have that one but it is the same thing and I assume made of the same plastic.
I would give the MadCatz case a 5 / 5 rating.

I Like my aromorlite case. You can insert slips on the front to really personalize it.

The one you listed loks almost exactly the same, but it's $13.99? The same case can be bought at circuitcity for $10.

I <3 my Armorlite. Saves the DS from fingerprints as well. Never thought to print out a graphic, though, great idea Maiden. Is there any place to find graphics that are made for the size of that Armorlite?

One of the reviews on Amazon says this about the Armorlite, "The only thing I have to complain is that the clasp on the edge of the screen prevents the ds from fully closing up. The widest gap is about 2mm." Is that true?
Also are there slots for the various ports on the DS and for changing games etc on the case? It seems like you can do that without removing the DS from the case for the one I posted in my OP.

Why do you have so many DS Lites? lol I have two DS Lites and two original and thought that was a little overboard.

Madcatz has a template you can download. Since the cases look exactly the same I'm betting the printouts are the exact same size, hmmm they almost have to be.

They're $10...and unfortunately only found at CC =/
Depending on where you live, they might be clearanced out for even less.

lol - I have one DS for my son, one for my daughter and one my wife and I share. I plan on getting one more so we do not have to share. We play many games thru the wireless conection (Bomberman, Tetris, etc). I also have 3 copies of MarioKart (and will get a 4th when we get the 4th DS). \\:D/

That makes more sense. I thought all the DS systems were just yours. lol
With the MadCatz case can you fully close the DS?

True. But shipping. Unless you have a coupon, or have a order over $25 at amazon.com

Before this thread I never noticed there was a small gap when the DS was closed.... but I took off the case and the gap was still there. The gap without the case is enough for me to put a piece of paper in it with no prob, and if I fold that paper in half I can get it in there if I kinda push it in. With the case I still have to push the folded paper in, but just a touch - and really just a touch less effort. I have never had a problem with this small gap and like I said - never even noticed it till this thread came along. I do not have the aromorlite one from Pelican found at CC, so I dunno if that makes it have a larger gap than this one does. But I could not be more happy with the MadCatz case, my kids have had thier DS for over a year now and they both still look new when you take the case off.

Regarding the Armorlite case, how much bulk does it add? I basically have one of these in white and the DS just fits. I don't think there'd be that much room for something thick.

Should I avoid the Armorlite if I like my cradle obsessively? I don't imagine taking the shell off every time to charge would make any gamer happy.

If it's a snug fit now, I don't think your DS will fit with the armorlite on.
For a second that thing looked like a vagina.

I never, ever looked at it that way, but now I can't stop.
