are you the moderator of this forum? I'm just wondering, because DJSteel convinced me to add him to the Ipod Touch conga, but he isn't even green (plus he didn't sign up under me but I wanted to be nice as he signed up under the wrong conga). I'd like to abide by the rules of this forum, but in my experience people don't get added to a conga just by posting in the wrong thread, and not going green.
One other question - does the conga count as my "one thread" or can I have another? Cheers!

You are allowed one conga thread, and one referral thread. However, this is within reason, as I don't want people creating a conga thread just "because" as it really is getting out of hand IMO with people making congas and ditching them lately.
Do you think a new conga could be made if an old one was complete dead for like a few months or something?
Foladar
09-14-2007, 01:09 AM
It would depend on the situation .. generally I've been watching the congas since I've been around and if they've gone un-rotated, I've asked someone else to start the conga again, with the same setup, minus the OP and he can no longer make congas because he went inactive, unless there was a good reason of course.

what sites work internationally [europe,FINLAND] ?

okay I have a lot of questions. (I am new to this)
1. What does going green mean?
2. Do referals cost money?
3. If it is a trial can you cancel and get your money back on the referals?
4. How long does it take to get your item. (If I wanted a 360 how long would it take?)
5. Is it worth it?
5. Can you get a big profeit by doing this?
what sites work internationally [europe,FINLAND] ?
Some sites, like Custom Order This (http://www.customorderthis.com/?ref=406) allow international residents. However, these places will usually just give you the cash equivalent of the gift. Meaning, if you choose a Wii as a gift (which cost $250US), they will give you $250US instead of the Wii.
Another thing, is that international members find slim to no advertiser's offers for their countries. In that case, well, at least for the Custom Order This (http://www.customorderthis.com/?ref=406) site, you can get an extra referral instead of you doing an offer.

Hi!
1. "Going green" means you do an advertiser's offer and get credit for it. "Going red", on the other hand, means you got put on hold at the freebie site for not obeying their terms of service (like using fake information, proxy, etc.)
2. Yes and no.
Some people like to finish sites rather quickly so they pay 50-70% of what they get from freebie sites to people who become their referrals. so, for example, if the site pays $40 for each referral, people would offer about $25-30 to people who becomes a referral for them.
Other people like to spend less or not at all to obtain a "true freebie". These people usually have personal websites, or they use friends, relatives, and people they meet at forums for their referrals.
3. Please NEVER EVER talk about canceling publicly. If you do offers for the sole purpose of canceling, that is considered fraud and it's against freebie sites TOS. This also has nothing to do with getting money back from referrals.
4. Doing the requirements (as mentioned on this free xbox 360 (http://free-xbox-360-premium.blogspot.com/) site) is totally dependent on how long you want to take. Some people (usually people who trade lots of $ for referrals) take about a week or two to finish the requirements. Some take a couple of months. It's up to you!
When you're done the requirements, each freebie site has a different policy of how long they take to approve accounts and when they ship the gift. On average, it takes a week for each (1 for approval, 1 for shipping).
5. TOTALLY WORTH IT! There is a lot of money to be made doing this stuff. I've personally made over $7K (in about 2 yrs) ... and that's less b/c I haven't been too active with it and b/c I'm Canadian who has limited sites to do. some people have made upwards of over $15-20K.
It takes a lot of hard work and determination at the very start to learn how everything works, how to maximize profit, and how to convince people. But if you're good at it, you will learn to do very well.
6. Yes, like said in #5, you can make a lot! So much so that some people even do this stuff as a part-time job.
If you need answers to more questions, do get back to me :)

Where can I get a virtual credit card to do the offers?
Foladar
09-22-2007, 03:13 AM
If a virtual CC would act as a debit card, it likely would be denied .. however the only virtual CC I know of personally would be a Paypal virtual card. I've also redesigned the OP, including an active conga list, please PM me your link if yours wasn't included (I tried to search for congas in the past 30 days) and the "three or more weeks inactive" will begin ticking now, for those congas that were already 21 or more days old.
Where can I get a virtual credit card to do the offers?
Ppe-paid cards are not allowed anymore on freebie sites. If you're caught using them your account will be placed on hold.
Just use a real one, or if you don't have one, join non-cc sites.

I've got a question about Winzy. How long does it take for a referral to transfer? I had two people tell me that they signed up under my link, plus my brother signed up under mine on his laptop, but I haven't gotten any of them yet.

3604free is probably the "easiest" to get a 360 from, however the referrals can be painful at times. PrizeRebel and Gaminglagoon credit pretty well, just make sure your using legitimate information and you'll be set.

Yes. Theres currently no rules on bumping, however if you bump it several times in say, three hours .. I'll probably ask you to slow down.

Depends on what you're trying to get and what you want, as in a referral site or points based site. If you just want to pick up a game or two look into a site like Prize Rebel or Gaming Lagoon.

Hey all,

My S.O. and I signed up, and have already got a few good deals (Sears & K-mart clearence thread8-)).
I have been trying to read thorugh all the "Free" threads, and I have a few ???'s
1~ Referal vs. Points...pro's/con's (can someone break this down a bit for me)
2~ I have no problem signing up for some offers to aquire a system, as long as they arent very long term.(I am Not trying to get it completly free...Just cheap)... what can I expect to pay out of pocket for said offers to aquire a Ps3 sytem/Xbox elite...
3~ alot of the threads seem to be loosing steam, Why ?
4~ anyone that has done/doing this stuff, have more experience, can I(or anyone) ask questions(or get advice) on what deals are cheapest(fastest)
thanx a ton for heads up.
and for the great deals already...

1) Referral Pros: Easy to get the prize quicker, only need to complete a few offers, sometimes one.
-Referral Cons: Not many, but some people charge a lot for referrals.
-Points pros: No referrals involved, some good sites for points
-Points cons: May end up being more costly, a lot more work involved.
Basically a points system you need an x amount of points and the same gos for referral but refs instead. Its your choice of what system you want but points or GPT are easier for beginners.
2) Offers go from free to 20-100 dollars most are in the 5 dollar range.
3) The threads are losing "steam" because the freebie industry is at a bad time now because of fraud by the users.
4) Please feel free to ask me questions, I can get you started.

Ref Pro:
-- Because you have to do just 1 or 2 offers, you can do plenty of freebie sites
-- Pay is a lot more than doing it the points way most of the time
Ref Cons:
-- Too much competition with people finding referrals. This leads to people paying more and more for referrals. Depending on the site, on average, people pay b/w $25-35 (the higher for trainn.org sites as people love them the most)
Points Pro:
-- No need to bug people to be your ref
-- If you find some good DIY sites, they can be very profitable (until they become well known, the requirements get difficult, and then its kinda impossible)
Points Cons:
- Due to you doing many offers on one site, you're very limited in the offers you can do on other sites. You cannot repeat offers, ever, so you have to wait till new ones come in. At this current time, due to major fraud many advertisers pulled out and thus they're around 25-50, depending on which site you go to.
2.
Most offers range from $5-10. Sometimes as high as $25. There are also free trials sometimes where you don't pay anything, or if you do, you get refunded.
3.
Like I said earlier, too much competition in finding referrals.
4.
For good offers, check out:

What is custom orders? I was trying to do GamingLagoon but I didn't know what to click for the "Coregister With Our Affiliates - Please Check All The Boxes Below". Do you know what I should click? I dunno if I unclick something and then it won't work or whatever.

That affiliate thing wasn't there when I signed up, or I don't recall it at all, I wouldn't think you'd have to sign up with their affiliates to sign up with Gaminglagoon though. Custom order is where you can order things that are on the "subject" of gaming, such as something that isn't on their website from anywhere, unlike the limit of Amazon only for PrizeRebel.
I also imagine if you used a cell # as your main number, that you shouldn't receive any texts. Just don't signup for the cell phone service offers they have, or you'll likely get more than just texts.

You can't complete the same offers. If you complete a free trial of an offer, you wouldn't be eligible the second time around.
Pre-paids cards are not allowed anymore. You need a real one.

Pre-paid cards were once allowed. But WAY too many people frauded offers and it pissed advertisers off. Most of them backed out of this freebie business. So to make the situation better, meaning to keep the freebie world alive, freebie sites disallowed members from using it. Yes, ALL offers need to be used with a real card. If found to be using a pre-paid one (advertiser's can report it), your (friend's) account will go on hold.

well i was wondering something.
what would happen if a conga died out, without anyone joining into it, and the maker wanted to convert the dead conga into a conga for a diffrent site, after having waited a long time for the old conga to become active. could the maker convert his dead conga, that never became active ,into a conga for another site?
P.S When i mean after waiting a long time, i mean 30-50 days:)

You could probably pick one out yourself then order it off of http://customorderthis.com/ (not putting ref link, because I don't have one). This site will let you order anything, then they determine the amount of referrals you need for it based on the price (basically $50 per referral). But if you're going to sign up for it, make sure you sign up under a CAGs link, just so you're helping someone out.

I'm not positive, but I think once you've done a big site like that (PS3, Wii, 360, iPod), it doesn't let you reset your account and earn another. Only with the 360, Wii, and PS3 game sites.

Uh, hi. I just started an account on points2shop and I was wondering if someone could answer a few questions.
1)Can I get an explanation of the referral system and how to get referrals for it on CAG? I'm sort of shy and don't want to go around PM'ing people who aren't interested.
2)Am I screwed if I put in real information for the site, but fake info for the offers? Not that I would do that, but just in case I was tempted to.
3)How would I set up a referral swap?
Foladar
02-14-2008, 02:50 AM
1) Someone signs up via your link, you receive a percentage of their points. And going around PMing people would be considered spam.
2) If you use fake information, they can and probably will close your account (or at the best for you, remove the points rewarded)
3) You have to wait 30 days to make a thread here, otherwise look for someone interested but don't spam their thread if they aren't looking for that.

The first site is an OC site. It is very easy when you first start, but like 60% into completion the site, the offers get EXTREMELY tough for your referrals... like $30+ Most people don't do their sites.
I've not heard much about the latter site. The referrals are low, but they probably need like 4-5 credits for it to count as 1 referral. It has to make up for the referral ratio somewhere...
About your ps3 account, you can reset it, but for future prizes you need to get approximately TWICE the amount of refs. For example, you took the 10 ref system now, if you want to get another 10 ref system, you'll need an additional 20refs or so. It is so much b/c they will switch your account to the points way everytime you want to do this (each ref is worth 50pts). Not practical for most people...
Stick with COTs if you really want that tv.

I have an question about this one offer called Efax i don't get, it says this
If it's a free trial, why do you need my credit card?
If you cancel anytime during the 1 month free trial period, your credit card will not be charged for the normal subscription fee. Trial also includes a $3.00 (USD) credit for usage fees (i.e sending). If you are enjoying faxing with eFax, do nothing, and your membership will automatically continue with a monthly fee of $16.95 (USD), for as long as you choose to remain a subscriber. No commitments, no hassles. Cancel anytime.
I know it's a trial but the thing i don't get is the 3$ fee, is it saying as soon i sign up for it and enter my CC there gonna charge me 3$ fee or is it saying there giving 3$ in my efax account.

Yeah, it doesn't matter which company you sign up through. ONE offer, do it ONCE!
Also, people are saying the paypal plugin creates a virtual card and most probably is not allowed now. Ask Trainn to be absolutely sure of this.

As the above already stated, Trainn sites are easily the best IMO for big ticket items.
YourPS34Free isn't bad @ 8 refs, and they also adjust referral rates if there is a pricedrop while you are working on the site.

Definitely Trainn sites. Other sites may state lower referrals, but the "hidden" costs are usually double the credits. Also, Trainn has more full credit offers, whereas other sites have these same offers for half a credit.
The people who have their links on my sites (in sig) are trying to do trainn sites, so help them out if you like. :)

Most offers and/or freebie websites don't allow prepaids, and I believe paypal virtual cards are considered prepaids.
That would cause the site to reject the CC.

A paypal plugin card is a virtual card, since you can create it for a "one time use". Most, if not all freebie sites, will ban you if they find out you used it. Another reason for banning you is that you created it for the sole purpose of it being a "one time use" fee only, and then want to "close" it so further charges don't occur. That is considered fraud.
There are a couple of offers that cost $1.95. The only one I remember at the moment is Yahoo! Success Center. I tried to do it recently but like some other people, the REAL credit card got declined.
If you are doing Trainn sites, a rep of their site said this:
http://www.anything4free.com/forums/index.php?act=findpost&pid=836830
So, atm, it could be accepted or denied. However, to be safe, people are going with it being NOT ALLOWED. I know you're trying to be safe, but you also gotta follow the rules so that you don't get banned and this freebie system continues to live on.
The lead that kicks in has nothing to do with whether the address you use on the survey is the same as the one on the site. I mean I wouldn't want to put any ideas in your head or anything like that.
Don't try to encourage people to enter fake info. If they find out (like if their advertisers report back "fraud info), their account will go on hold and advertisers will pull out.
There was a HUGE drop of advertisers a couple of months ago (the time freebie sites enforced the "no virtual cards" rule) b/c tons of people frauded advertisers and they got pissed off -- who wouldn't when they spend around $40 per person that puts in fake info...multiple that by thousands!!!
Just be truthful. I've been doing this stuff for 2.5yrs and never had a problem. Excess spam via email, yes. More junk snail mail, no way! Even if there was, it doesn't matter as junk mail is junk mail -- it gets discarded before it even enters the house.

I'm not sure about sites like GamingLagoon or PrizeRebel, but I know for a fact that the only information Trainn is given is whether you completed the offer or not.
● Do you log information when I sign up for an offer? No, any information given to the advertiser is not viewable by us. The only information made available to us from the advertiser is whether or not you have completed an offer.

You were planning on canceling even before you do the offer? That is fraud too lol
If you don't want to mail stuff back, look for offers that don't need you to do that. This stuff is clearly written in their TOS. There are some offers that are e-Deliveries too, like Yahoo! Success Center, Stamps, Reunion is a service...stuff like that.
There is no other option on "how you can complete more offers". With all the stuff you're doing or are trying to do, it is against the site's TOS. Again, remember, the more people try to scam the system, the faster freebies will die. It almost did a couple months ago, and that caused offers to get harder. If it continues with scamming, the offers will be very expensive -- for the advertisers that do stick with "incentitive sites" -- and this will cause everyone to leave and the system will die.
I've been doing freebie sites for 2.5yrs. I read a LOT on each offer I do to ensure I don't get scammed....and I never had from an advertiser.

Pre-paid cards are definitely NOT allowed!!!
Where did you see it say that it was allowed? This site? Just b/c it says it on this site it doesn't mean it is allowed. If it says its allowed on freebie sites (read their TOS, or confirm it with them), then go ahead. But the majority of freebie sites are pretty strict on this now since they lost A LOT of advertisers b/c of pre-paid cards and the major fraud that went along with it. Even Trainn (the company that runs that ps3 site says it is NOT allowed).
If you know about the "paypla plugin" thing, Trainn is looking into it as it is a virtual card (one time use), BUT it can also act as a real card (multi use cards) since your bank/credit card is the alternative money source. Read here: http://www.anything4free.com/forums/index.php?act=findpost&pid=836830
Regarding your other question, you cannot do offers for people, or use the same card, or use a pre-paid card, or do the exact same offer since it looks highly suspicious. All of these things are AGAINST the site's TOS, which I suggest you read. Tell your refs to pick and choose their own offers (everyone will have a different opinion of what they like), and they can use their own REAL cards. I know it's tougher, but don't try to scam the system, especially not on easy sites as Trainn.

Does your browser setting allows all cookies to go through too? Before doing an offer I do the following (never had to do an MCR):
1. Disable my security software and PeerGuardian too (as I have an ad blocking list).
2. Run a program called CCleaner to erase all cookies/temp files for my internet explorer 6 browser (which I use to do offers).
3. There are some programs like Spybot, that immunizes your computer against a whole list of "bad sites". By doing so, it tells your computer to never go there, even by mistake. I tell it to reverse it's changes b/c some of these are ad sites.
4. Lastly, I open up my IE 6 and change the settings to allow ALL cookies to go through.
Then I visit the freebie site immediately and do my offer.
Once offer is done, I back track through the list.

I don't remember how long it takes. Support tickets are what it is. You create a new ticket when you have an issue, and respond to it till the issue is resolved. For a new issue, create a new ticket. Support tickets take at least 2 business days for a reply.

1. What is a conga and how does it work?
2. Not asking to go too in depth but how does this referral deal work?
I appreciate any help recieved because I want free stuffs:)Who doesn't?
1. A conga is a group of people, in a line, that sign up under each other so they can get referrals. Back a long time ago, congas were fun and it enabled many people to be each other's referrals, especially when new, popular sites were released. Now, many people usually trade for sites so they get some $ back from being a referral. In a conga you sign up for free, in the hope that someone returns the favour. Usually, if you're one of the first ones in a popular conga, you're likely to get a referral. If you're way down the line, your chances are slim to none.
I remember back in Jan 2007, I joined a conga for a very popular network - Transcendent Innovations - but even after a few minutes in the conga, I never even got one sign up. The majority of people didn't actually. That's when I decided to call it quits from congas.
The way it works, as you'll see from one of the other threads in this section is that person A signs up to a site and posts their link. Than depending on how big the conga (usually set to 3 people now), other people sign up from that link and do an offer. They then post their links.
Person A, needs 3
Person B signs up under A, needs 3
Person C signs up under A, needs 3
Person D signs up under A, needs 3
Now the list grows and it starts slowing down over time b/c interest dies down rather quickly. It is rotated every week by the person who creates it. Take a look at the other congas on this site to know how it is working.
2. Referral deal work? You mean how to trade or how this whole system works? For the answer to the latter my sig will help ;)

Referrals work like this: You refer someone to the website, they sign up and complete an offer. You receive one referral towards your "prize" however some websites such as Gaming Lagoon and Prize Rebel are percentage based on what your referral receives (ie 20% of their points for completing X offer)
thanks mkda aswell for helping people out.

-What is "going green"
-People pay me to ref them, do I get to keep all the money?
Thanks for helping
Foladar
03-02-2008, 02:25 PM
Going green has to do with the environ- oh wait ..
Going green just means completing the offer requirements for that website. When people pay you, yes you can keep all the money although some offers might require you to pay something.
N1c0_ds: To go green, you gotta:
1. Sign up using that person's referral link
2. Do an offer and get credit for it.
The term "green" comes from seeing a green check mark (or green font) when the offer is done. In relation, "red" means your account is on hold and "yellow" means you just signed up but didn't get credit for an offer.
When people pay you an amount, you keep all that amount. People usually pay about 50-60% of what they get. So, the going rate of an average site is about $25. If you're new, people usually pay less until they feel comfortable in trading with you (you could be a scammer, or go red for some silly noob reason). When you gain more experience people will offer a higher amount.

any alternatives to using a real credit card besides one time only paypal plugin and prepaids?
No, you have only one option: use a REAL credit card or risk your account going on hold and advertisers pulling out and this freebie system dying.
As a matter fact, just this evening the company that runs many of the instant offers (Pacific WebWorks) pulled out many of it's offers (QuickBooks quickstart, Increase My Margin, Yahoo! Success center, etc.), most probably due to offer fraud, like fake credit cards and false info. A couple of months back other major advertiser's pulled out for the same reasons -- too all b/c people try to scam advertisers.
Remember, if there are no advertisers, especially advertisers that have good offers, this freebie system WILL DIE for good (if not, the offers will get very expensive).
So, use a REAL card and follow the rules!!!

The freebie system will never die out. The advertisers and the site make too much money off of it to let that happen.
Pacific WebWorks may have pulled out, but that may not necessarily be the reason. As of now it's useless propaganda.
I use Visa Gift Cards, the only reason advertisers don't want you using them is because if you forget to cancel the trial, they can't charge you hundreds of dollars.

The sit4e makes tons of money, but not the advertisers. Unless you're counting those people who get charged for forgetting, it seems people are just in it to cancel. This certainly doesn't help keep advertisers if the leads don't plan on staying on.
I just found out the PWW may come back (from a Trainn rep). I suppose it was taken down to it it not accepting cc. Hopefully it does comes back soon, but I don't expect them to stay on for too long. Advertisers usually leave b/c fraud is a major reason. I've read and looked into incentive freebies for many years. Many advertisers (or the ad networks they go through) decline incentive sites b/c of major fraud.
With pre-paid cards especially, people don't seem to even take the trouble to quit the offer. They just let it be charged, and when there is not enough in there, advertiser's get angry. It's just that bad that gift cards are no longer allowed.

lol, that is nothing really. Overall, it seems they loose money when you weigh in how many ppl stay on and how many leave after they the commission is paid. People forgetting is another thing, and with that they make easily, but we don't hear soooo many cases of this.
Even though some of these companies have assets of over a million (PWW has about 3.5 million) some still don't stay. Video Professor, for example, left incentive freebie sites (I found an article where the owner of that company speaks against incentive sites...now if I can just find it again).

I accidentally created two accounts on one trainn site, is there anything I can do to prevent me from getting screwed? I emailed Trainn. With the second account, I haven't done any offers or anything like that. I know I get the dumbass award.

If you didn't do, or attempt to do any offers or get referrals, Trainn allows you to abandon it and create another one. No problem with that. Sigh of relief, eh? :D

Now I can still do elite 360 :)

Ok so I properly canceled Grant Consulting (cancellation number and all) and then tried one of the piggybacked and they couldn't find any of my info. Since I canceled the Paypal VCC card, beyond the one that will still go through (since it was still pending), none of those piggy back services should be able to get jack shit? :)
TIA

Could care less. I've made a ton of money just doing the referral for people. It would be nice, to get the extra money, but it doesn't bother me. Also I said I CANCELED Grant Properly ! This is to deal with their scam piggyback ones. Grant's people wouldn't help me at all.

Pretty sure the CC is suppose to be in the account holder's name, but mkda would know more.
I'd personally suggest against it, and have them complete an offer they're seriously interested in with their own CC.

Good luck I called the number in the free xbox game thread, they couldn't find a damn thing. Actually they may not be linked anymore as NONE of them did a pending charge on the card like all the others normally do (no authorization no nothing).
Hence why I'm asking since Grant was properly canceled with no issues, that by closing the VCC I used to set it up should prevent any of the piggy back firms from charging me?

All of the above: register, install, print. You also need to keep it for a min of 21 days, even if you get credit earlier than that. It says so on the site's offer description page.
I think they gave you $5 of postage for free to, so it is really a free trial. If you do get charged like $15, it is refunded after a couple of days. They do that to ensure the card is valid/real.

Instant offers are not usually instant. On some cases there are.
He may have not gotten an automatic credit if he did something wrong (clear cookies, enable ALL cookies, disable anti-cookie/ad progs, etc.).
I think if he does not get credit in a day or so, he won't get credit. He will have to do it manually, a process that I think takes 10 biz days.

I've done Macro$ and never had a prob. I don't know if they accept MCRs though.
V-Bux is very good too. You need to do about 2-3 offers to get 1 credit, so it may be hard to find a referral. Not sure if they do MCR either. I'm a member on all their sites, but never completed them yet (just signed up for a free green awhile ago :D).
Never tried ForceBucks. They're too new.
If you want green forever kinda sites, I think any smaller network that gives custom orders can work with you on that. Sites like CustomOrderThis is good.

I was wondering I know that Tranin allows you to resign up for a site if you didn't have a ref done. Does this apply to sites you have refs on, but it just resets them? I'm asking because I actually logged in on one that I've completed in the sign up box and it didn't say this email has an account or such. Can you just overwrite an account?

Trainn allows you to use another account without penalty if BOTH the following applies:
- you never did an offer or attempted to do one
- you never got even 1 referral
They never delete accounts, so if that email doesn't exist and you're absolutely sure you used it to sign up before, contact them at contact _AT_ trainn.org

Ive been considering getting a 360 or wii through one of these referal sites, and i have been reading up as best i can, but I need to ask about the credit card thing:
why do they need your credit card? do they charge you later?
is there any one site recommended over others?
i guess thats all i can think of right now.

You need a CC to do "offers" from the sites sponsors. You sign up for a trial or buy some products from the sponsors then you need to find "x" amount of people to do the same under your referral. Look through the forums and join a conga or some one paying for "greens" (a "green" is a referral that uses your link and completes an offer.) If you want a non CC site try gaminglagoon (see sig) or some of the other sites that do a point type system instead of a referral system but it will be next to impossible to earn enough points on a site like gl for a wii or 360 without some strong referrals. Goodluck!

When you do an "offer", advertisers ask for your card. They do this in case you wish to continue being a member of theirs, after the trial period. Some of these offers might also be a one time purchase, which again is charged through the card. It is also used to verify you're not entering fake info. If you use a real card ad respect the advertisers' offers, you will be fine and this freebie stuff will continue. Don't scam them, like some people do. If they go, this stuff will die VERY quickly.
A network to try definitely is www.trainn.org ... Like many these days, congas die off very fast these days, so joining one will be definitely useless. You could be better of making like $20 if someone is offering you for signing up as their referral (and doing an offer). If you like more details on this stuff, I can help :)

I've got one pending, I don't want to do another instant one and end up with a wasted offer.

For a Trainn site:
If you did it the points way: there is no problem. You can do however many offers it takes to get your gift
If you did it the referral way: only one is required, and only one credit will be given to you...no matter however many you do. It will be a wasted offer, of course...which you definitely don't wanna do these days.

Is there an offer site for a PSP similar to yourfree360games.com? As in, I can do the offers myself instead of having to rely on referrals? All I can find are sites like gaminglagoon which require you to do tons of surveys and the such in order to get a very small amount of points. On yourfree360games I could do 2 offers to get a copy of GH3, so is it reasonable to expect there is a site I can do around 4 offers on to get a PSP?

Unfortunately, only Trainn sites can do such deals. You could try working out a deal with the owners of other freebie sites, but it'll definitely be 4+ offers (Trainn pays about $50/g, others pay about $40/g).

Anyone recommend the best site for getting free Wii Points cards? I do Harris Polls surveys all the time, but it just feels like I'm accumulating points towards such poor prizes. I'd like Wii Points, Wii games, Wii accessories, and such, but mostly Wii Points.
Any recommendations? I would rather only get points by completing surveys or something. Don't want to spend money, if that's possible. Is it?

Use a gmail email to store all the SPAM they send you(Preferably not your personal email). Keep your real name and adress on your personal account and when you fill up offers.

In a nutshell these freebie sites pay you to give your info to their advertisers and in return they pay you for giving their advertisers info or for using their services. That is why all pay/freebie sites require you to give their advertisers all real info. You are getting paid/prizes to get sent junk mail and for telemarketers to bug you... or to buy "x" product or use "y" service.

It seems like it is a decent site. I stayed away from the offers that needed any personal info and just did surveys. Thanks for your replies.
All there surveys are from Big Buck Surveys, Winning Surveys, Opinion Outpost, and Nationwide Opinion Panel. Are these reputable survey sites?

hey guys, totally freakin new to all of this so im really gonna hit you with some of the basics :)
1) what exactly is a conga? Maybe im missing a thread on all of this, but from my context clues it sounds like it's just a line you get into to get all the required referrels for a free ps3, ipod, etc.
2) Is all i do then to get my ps3 is complete an offer through a referrel link, get my ass in line, and then wait a few months for peeps to finish me off on referrels? Is there an avg wait time for all of this to get done?
3) how legit is all of this? If i have 6 months of patience (hell, if i get a free ps3, i have a year or 2 of patience!) will i pretty much guarantee to get a ps3...or ipod or whatever else i sign up for?
4) THANKS MUCHLY!!!!!!!!!!
Hope to hang out here a bit. looks like a nice place :)

Hi nymk83!
Let me help you out with this. Contact me via pm if you want more help.
1. A conga helps people who use it by getting them referrals. In a typical conga, you sign up under a link in that conga (the conga instructs which one specifically). Once you get credit for your offer you will be added in the line. the line then rotates about once a week so everyone gets a fair chance at getting some referrals.
Now days congas are set at about 3-5 referrals for each person, depending on the site, then you're moved off it. It used to be the FULL amount back (like 10 referrals for a ps3) about a year ago, but has since decreased b/c people lost faith in congas. Why? Because people rarely get any referrals these days through it, if at all. If you're lucky enough to join a site and get in the earlier spots in a conga, you will probably get some referrals. However, if the conga is a couple of weeks old, you prob won't get any. Based on experience, I joined a conga for a VERY popular site within like 10-15 min of it launching and got credit for my offer. I ended up finishing the site on my own...the conga was useless.
2. Read above. Congas don't help much these days, and will be less popular as people lose interest in it. More and more people seem to "trade" - either referral 4 referral or referral 4 cash (ie. give about 50% of what you get from the freebie site). It's tougher these days due to competition but it's still possible if you keep persisting. It's not a "sit and forget" thing.
3. The legitimacy depends on the site, so make sure you do your research before you sign up for a particular one. Right now the most popular and legit network, especially for new people, is www.trainn.org Their sites are kinda easier then the rest.
4. np.
It is a nice place!

He told me later that there was no offers that he could do. What would be the correct response to somethin like this? Should i give negative feedback or what?

Ask him to go green on some other site or work out a cash compensation.
If both fail, you can request the freebie site to remove your credit from your referrer (meaning he/she won't get credit for referring you, but you still keep your own offer credit).

So I have a few questions that you guys can hopefully answer. I appreciate all the details that you've already given out on this thread, and I'm trying to keep my questions to ones that haven't been answered yet:
1. Do you need a credit card for most of these offers, or does a regular old debit card do? It's a legit debit card, not prepaid or a Gift card or anything like that.
2. Why are Trainn sites recommended the most for new users? It seems to me that if they are the most popular, then most people will already have signed up with them and it would be very hard to get referrals? Or is it still easy to do the offers yourself and not need referrals?
3. I'm wary about giving away my credit card information (much more than my street or home address). Is it common to get fake credit card charges? Is there a short-list of companies that you should go with and are guaranteed to not screw you?
4. I'm looking to get a PSP from referrals, but there is no Trainn site for it? Do you think it would be better to sign up for a cash prize on a Trainn site, or find a site that would actually do the PSP? If I'm signing up for a Trainn site, is any specific one better than the others, or are they all pretty much equal for this? I have my eye on the Wii site right now because they have a $250 prize, which would cover the cost of a PSP quite nicely.

1. I've used debit cards on some offers and they work just fine.
2.Trainn is what most people do because it's both easy and pretty fast. You can get a Wii for having 5 people do 1 credit.
3. I have never gotten a fake credit card charge but some people have
4. I would go that route. Just do the wii site and get the cash reward. Much easier than doing another site

1. Like 99% of sites require it. You can always try non-credit card sites but it's a much longer process (4-5x more work/referrals). I've heard of people using debit and they seem to work fine for some offers.
2. Trainn has the most offers that are worth full credit, and their referral requirements are the lowest. Therefore, it is easiest for newbies. If you see a site that offers half the referral amount, keep in mind that to earn that offer credit you would have to double the offers.
For example, while Trainn might offer an 80gb ps3 system for 10 referrals with each referral doing 1 easy offer ($500/10 referrals = $50/ref), other sites will cut this referral amount in half to 5, but tell people to do 2 offers to get credit (5 referrals * 2 offers each). Most sites, other than Trainn pay out on avg of $40/referral as the STANDARD rate. If they pay more and/or has much fewer referrals watch out for the # of offers you gotta do to make up for it.
For the other part of your question, many people do it the referral way, and probably still do. However, there are some who find the offer system easier so they don't bug their friends/family.
Just keep in mind that although the points route is feasible, it will surely drain the offer choices available for you to do on future freebie sites. New offers don't come out frequently, so if you just really wanna stick with one site, and don't care for other freebie sites (at least for awhile) go the points route. It is still possible to find referrals, but with the amount of competition these days, especially for Trainn it is tough -- but attainable if you stick with it.
3. If you're concerned about an offer/company ALWAYS research that offer/company to find out what people think about it. Google works, but so do freebie communities like anything4free.com. More research you do, the better so that you're well informed.
4. You can do a Trainn site for a cash or go directly through freebie sites, your choice. With Trainn you can for the lowest reward they offer (about $250) and use it to buy your gift. With "custom freebie sites" they require like 1-2 referrals more for the gift, but it isn't impossible.

Yes, start of with the referrals and then switch to points if you like. You're allowed to make an account switch once. Each referral you get will then convert to 50pts.

I haven't heard of any freebie site doing that. Not sure about DIY sites, but I suppose they will ask for info too before the gift. After all, it is one way to prove you live there and to not allow other accounts from that address (some sites even set up an automated phone verification system due to so much scamming going on, especially with their advertisers -- just like you they don't want o be scammed with fake info when they spend so much $ on commissions).

Hi everyone - I'm really sorry if this is not the place I should be posting this, but I'm kind of new. I'm interested in trying to get a Wii and/Xbox 360 (and subsequestly some games later) through one of those offer/referral sites, but I'm not sure how to go about it and which ones are legit/easy. If anyone could help me with this I would be sooooo grateful and if you need a referral or something of that nature in return I'd be glad to do that. Thanks again!! :D

hey, i just have a question about one of these trainn sites (specifically yourps3forfree.com). I'm just wondering if anyone has:
1) won their prize from it recently
2) completed a majority of the offers to get the prize (ended up cost less than getting w/e they wanted).
I'm thinking that it would be best to do an many offers as possible then paying people by paypal for referrals. I plan on aiming for the 80gb ps3 so i need 10 referrals or 2200 points.

1. I think of it as "earn", not "win", a gift from freebie sites as you do stuff to get it. I did get my ps3, but that was almost 1.5yrs ago. However, I've seen people getting it recently as well. That site is very legit in case you're wondering.
2. If you do it the points way, you will probably still be under than what it costs to just buy it. For most people it's the harder route b/c you gotta do more offers, and thus, lessens the offer choice if they pursue other sites (like most decide to do). When comparing to the referral way, people charge about $35/green for trainn sites these days due to competition.
If you pay, you would get your ps3 for about 70-80% of what it costs I suppose. However, by doing this it keeps you options open for doing more offers, if you pursue more freebie sites. If you don't wish to pursue more sites, than the points way could be cheaper. Or so I think anyways. I haven't seen too many people doing it that way, but it could be cheaper.
What you could do is weigh the costs on each side and see which ones you're more comfortable with.

Quick Question, it's about the offers on some sites where it can check your credit report.
So my question is, i use to have a credit card but cancel it last year, am i still able to do those offers to check my cancel credit card and if i am, will doing those offer reactivate my credit card and charge me for that ?

Hmm, not sure. Try contacting the freebie site to ask this. Perhaps if you get a response you can let us know too :)

Hey.. I had a few quick questions. I've started a new conga for YourCamera4Free.com (http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=195003). I was wondering:
A) Would you mind adding it to the initial list, and
B) Under the 1 thread per user rule, do congas count? I've got a personal thread for all of my referral websites, and I'm now running the YC4F conga. I certainly don't mind deleting the personal thread if this is in opposition to the 1 per user rule, but just asking in case it's actually allowed.

I have a question regarding the one-conga rule. I started a Conga Line about a year ago for YouriPodTouch4Free ( http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/...d.php?t=151443 (http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=151443) ) and I've been rotating/updating it since I got my three referrals last September.
Your rules state "Users who have abandoned previous congas being led by them will no longer be allowed to run congas."
Does this mean that users who DON'T abandon previous congas being led by them can start another conga line? It's implied by that rule but it also says one conga per user, or is that only that you can BE on one conga at a time?
Just checking....thanks!

Yeah, credit went through tonight. I guess it actually waits to see that you remained a member for seven days, even though it says 2-3 days to credit.
what is the best way to ensure that offers credit? Im confused about cookies etc, can someone PM me.
Prepare:
1. Open up a browser
2. Clear all cookies and change your browser settings to allow ALL cookies and popups. If needed, lower your security settings.
3. Disable any security software, especially the ones that prevent popups and cookies from being created.
4. Remove immunization processes that prevent you form visiting certain sites and certain cookies from being created. In other words, it PREVENTS you from going to "bad sites" and installing "bad software". Spywareblaster and Spybot programs do this.
5. Ensure your browser allows javascript/java to load. Firefox has little checkboxes in the options area.
Do it:
1. After you do the above, login to the freebie site and do your offer.
2. Ensure all pages load fully. If you like, wait a couple of moments after you see the progress bar being loaded just to be sure. Also, if popups spawn see if it has anything to do with your offer before closing it.
3. Once the offer is done (you did what was required of you), close the advertiser's site after a few moments
Go back:
1. Re-enable your security software, prevention programs.
2. Launch your browser, and go back to the previous config (if you so choose).

I believe as long as you do some kind of credible trade you can leave feedback. If you did a referral for referral or referral for cash trade, I'm pretty sure it is acceptable.

I'm interested in trying to get a few newer release 360 games from this... out of curiosity how many offers/referrals would I need to complete to get say... Gear of War 2? A rough idea is fine.

We don't have congas for the 360 games site. You'd just have to create your own thread for it and unfotunately no one is really signing up for free under another person anymore. You've got to offer a little something in return. Or you could sign up and complete two offers and be done with it. If you pick the right offers you could end up getting Gears 2 for under $10. If you want to try the referral route then you've got to do only one offer and get TWO people to each do at least one offer as well. Good luck. If you want to help me out that'd be awesome. ;)

I've successfully completed an offer-based site (gadgetcity) and would like to change. I don't want to use my credit card or phone number, but I don't mind giving out my address for snail mail spam. Surveys are fine, but I just want a system that is not difficult to navigate (hard as heck to find the good offers) and I'm just looking for some free xbox 360 points/games or wii games.
Also, is it reasonable to expect to be able to sign up for a site and have enough fill in your name and survey offers on day 1 to actually get a free game or points?
Thanks.
Redeema
12-08-2008, 03:43 PM
Only if your game is cheap <$20 otherwise I wouldn't expect to get $50 worth of points in a single day. It'd probably take a bit longer because some don't credit right away or at all. You could try, but I think you'd get tired after trying to do the 20th survey for the day.

Hey, I don't know if this is the best place to ask, but I'm looking for Pay to Click/Visit/... sites. I find a lot of offer/referral ones here, but I don't want to be dependent on referral nor use a credit card to do offers.
Also, I need them to accept European users and that pay by Paypal or with gift cards to some shop that ships to Europe like Amazon.co.uk.
I'd ask you to send suggestions by PM so this thread doesn't get spammed. I'll register under your referral, if you can link an image of some proof even better as I probably won't be signing up for every site.
Thanks in advance!

Doubt it, unless maybe if you go over $599 from a site (if you do you gotta fill a tax form).
Freebie sites only really want your name and address (and some require a phone #). Advertiser's require this and also a card.

Be careful. Most sites and advertisers don't allow those. Advertisers usually reject the card at sign up, and freebie sites ban you if you do use it.

Are we allowed to put a referral link in our signature? Or do you have to wait 30 days for that too?
Also, if I did the referral more like a sweepstakes, would it be something I could post into the contests and free stuff forum? Example: I'm using swagbucks, if they sign up with the referral link that's 1 entry in the drawing and every swagbuck they earn after sign up is an additional entry. After a set time I put all there entries in a container and take one at random and whoever it is wins the prize.

Can someone give me some info on Rewards1.com? I went there after reading a thread about it on here, and have since gotten 5.00 points and requested a $5 Amazon gift card only to have that request rejected. I need to enter some certain info, listing my Paypal account email, current password (to Paypal I'm guessing), New Password, and Confirm New Password. I don't think I have to fill out the address section because I believe they'll give me the code through email (if I had been reading correctly). I'm just wondering though, is this legit? Giving away my Paypal account and the password to it seems a little sketchy to me. =\
Can someone help?

I have a question, if I make a new paypal account and redeem a $5 paypal giftcard from a freebie site, do I still have to link my account to my bank/credit card in order to receive it? Any fees? Because technically I'm not getting it from someone- I earned it through work.
